Inexpensive stocking stuffer ideas

Teenage girls can be tricky to shop for at Christmas. As the mother of two teen girls I can say that cheap stocking stuffers for teen girls are easy to find. Many teen girls like things that are silly, inexpensive or just plain fun. You can pick up stocking stuffers for teenagers when we are doing our regular shopping. A lot of the stuffers on this list are available from grocery stores or from discount retailers like Wal-Mart or Target.

The following stocking stuffer ideas are tried and true gifts that have withstood the test of time. The list will get you started shopping for your teenage girl in no time.

Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Girls #1

Funky socks.

Bright patterns and bold prints are the name of the game. Fun socks bearing your teen’s favorite pop icon or cartoon character are also in vogue. It’s hard to go wrong with funky socks of any kind.

Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Girls #2

Makeup

Remember, you are buying for your teen and not yourself. Teens like fun shimmering glittery colors for weekend wear and regular colors for school days.

Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Girls #3

Nail polish

Think fun colors for this one too. Teens are just as likely to wear green, teal or black as they are to use pink or red. Be sure to pick up nail polish remover too. It’s a great compliment.

Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Girls #4

Makeup accessories.

Cotton balls, q-tips, make-up sponges – all of these are great make-up accessories and work well as stocking stuffers.

Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Girls #5

Small games.

Small games and puzzles in bright colors are good. Card games like UNO are a perennial favorite among teenagers.

Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Girls #6

Funky pens.

This is a take off on the socks mentioned above. Pens with a regular ink color and color change barrels are fun. Popular pens have their favorite pop icon or double as a flashlight on the end.

Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Girls #7

Gift cards.

iTunes, Wal-Mart, Bath and Bodyworks are all great stocking stuffers. You decide how much to put on the card. No matter the amount you can be sure that your teenage girl will use every penny! (And possibly ask for more!)

Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Girls #8

Prepaid cell phone cards.

If you use a prepaid provider for your teen’s cell phone you won’t go wrong with buying more minutes. Just don’t expect her to use them to actually call home.

Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Girls #9

Movie tickets

Teenage girls seem to love hanging out at the movies. Purchase movie theater tickets in advance from the theater. They can also be purchased at a reduced rate from automobile clubs. This is a great stocking stuffer.

Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Girls #10

Hair accessories

A new hairbrush, scrunchies, combs or barrettes always make good stocking stuffers for teenage girls.

Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Girls #11

Small bottles of lotion.

Cucumber melon, tangy citrus or sugar spiced vanilla are popular scents for lotions that your teenage girl will love.

Cheap Stocking Stuffers for Teenage Girls #12

Hobby stuff.

If your teenage girl has a hobby she is sure to love receiving hobby items to create. Rubber stamps, ink pads and other hobby items make fun stocking stuffers that can be used repeatedly.
