Instead, approach the object of your desire with a relaxed, charming and sincere compliment or question.

This is one of the most crucial things to remember when approaching someone. No matter the clothes, the bar or the person, everyone is more receptive to a confident person. People can always sense when someone is uncomfortable, and that will only make everyone else in the situation uneasy. Conversations will likely go much smoother.
