10 ways to recycle or reuse an old toothbrush

“The earth was not given to you by your parents it was lent to you by you children.” is a famous Kenyan proverb. The earth is not ours we are merely borrowing it. Most people would not wreck something they borrowed; they would treat it especially carefully. That is why we need to care for our earth like our very own child. There are many things that people around the world can do for our earth child including recycling. The governments around the world can also help out, the corporations can help out, the TV networks can help out, and even you can help out. Return your borrowed earth in better condition than when you borrowed it.

“Reduce, reuse and recycle.” these are the three most popular ways that us humans use to help mother earth. We are starting to use them more frequently now too. For example, Calgary has introduced a blue bin door to door recycling program. This means that everyone can recycle without using barely any effort at all. Similar programs are set up all over the United States as well. You can recycle most things nowadays including: cans, bottles, cardboard, milk jugs, newspapers and jars. Reducing as well as recycling saves our planet. People should reduce their environmental footprint, which means the quantity of resources that they use. This includes: electricity, food, recyclables and garbage. Reusing is just as important. If people reuse things then we do not have to waste materials making new ones.

Gouvernment can help out in many ways as well. for example, introducing recycling programs into city’s are great. They make an easier way for people to recycle and, for the ones who enjoy saving our world makes it alot easier for them to get it done. even a step further would be to introduce a system of payment per item recycled like that of alberta. In alberta we earn roughly five cents a can and ten cents a bottle. this program is a fantastic way to earn a little extra income and save the planet at the same time. Fantastic!.

Corporations can help out in a very big way as well. if corporations stop using styrofoam and other non recyclable items and started using recyclable items. they could switch out the styrofoam for plastic bags. another way they could help us would be to reduce their excess garbage from their products. Corporations could eve change there factories by making them greener. By green i don’t mean actually green, i mean they could reduce pollution emmisions. If the corporations also helped out our world would be freed of the nasty haze and pollution.
