Although water-sign Scorpio is prominent in November’s Zodiac, if you’ve ever felt the sting of a Scorpio you are more likely to remember the fire and not the rain. This is a sign of power, and thus is one of the most powerful Sun Signs in the Zodiac. Never mistake even a shy or timid Scorpio for being weak-minded or weak-willed. This is never the case with true Scorpio.
For this reason, you may also mistake Scorpio’s color for charcoal or dark grey (since Scorpio is some times considered a dark Sign), but Scorpio’s associated color is viewed as deep red traditionally. Scorpio gems and stones range from rubies to garnets to coral. Some people suggest Scorpio’s stone is an aquamarine or even amber, but I fall into line with those who favor the deep red of carnal knowledge and vital (blood) signs of life. Elsewhere, I have described the "lucky stone" for Scorpio as a fire Opal. This is a highly powerful stone to carry or to put by your bed if you are a Scorpio. It may enhance and translate your dreams into action. The "red" in this stone is contained within, much like how you, Scorpio, carry the power of your convictions - within.
Scorpios have figured prominently in my life, and probably yours. From experience, I learned to tread lightly on Scorpio’s turf and on Scorpio’s feelings. And while Scorpio may never show his/her emotions, they are likely to simmer for some time, before they erupt in one way or another (another little something I learned from experience). If you must walk with Scorpio, tip-toe unless you are a fortunate Cancer or Pisces - the two signs that fare best with Scorpio. Since all 3 are Water Signs, there is an affinity based on the languid, dreamy and intuitive abilities found in Scorpio and the others.
Scorpios are generally secure in their power and their self-esteem. I have seen many Scorpios who reflect friendship and good humor, but often this is more a result of the influence of their Moon or Rising Signs. A true Scorpio (even in Moon or Rising) is not content unless she/he is running the show, the family, the business, the relationship. Most Scorpios are so adept at wielding their power, they do not need to show their hands or their motives. They just do what comes naturally to a Scorpio: they take control.
Scorpio is a deeply sensual sign, most of the time. This sensitivity is part of Scorpio’s allure. If Scorpio wants a relationship with you, consider the fact that Scorpio can be quite possessive and jealous. This is not a Sign to tinker with or attempt to game-play.
Scorpios possess a detailed memory for persons, places, things. They rarely forget an encounter or a face. They are slow to forgive a slight or a hurt, most likely because they can remember it so well.
The power range of a Scorpio extends far and wide - this is a Sign you want to have on your side in any battle. But if you want to prevail in battle, you might need to concede your power to Scorpio. Scorpios make excellent friends so long as you understand the confines and boundaries of your friendship. That means you can’t expect Scorpio to rush to your side when you need a friend; on the other hand, you may be rewarded with material gestures of appreciation for your loyalty and friendship. If your parent is a Scorpio, you will be expected to behave according to Scorpio’s rules and regulations. Scorpios are not the most maternal or paternal of Sun Signs, but, in the best of family experiences, their parental love is deep and abiding, capable of sacrifice and understanding.
Here are some well-known Scorpios to consider for their archetypical personalities: Hilary Clinton, Bill Gates, Julia Roberts, Prince Charles, Roseanne, Larry King, Leonardo Dicaprio.
