What Women Want for Christmas

When thinking of amazingly cheap gifts worthy Christmas present for under $20, let’s remember that it is the thought that counts, right? Also, people want something they can use not just another item that will get stuffed in the back of the closet or even end up in the trash when the gift givers back is turned. I have several ideas that could help with the budget. First off, people like things about themselves or that have to do with them and the gift givers relationship. Secondly they also like something that will match their personal style, which is not also the same as the gift giver. So here is a quick list to help you out.

  • Thrift stores have super cheap picture frames that you can use as is or decorate more yourself, insert a personal picture of you and the gift receiver
  • Have friends or family that just had a baby give them a photo album that is diaper bag size so they can take it with them, do you also have a few pictures of the new baby, insert a few to get the album started
  • Christmas ordainments, you can pick out ones to fit personality, or buy a dozen glass bulbs and hand paint them with words or inside jokes
  • Coffee drinkers, go back to the thrift store and pick out a hilarious mug, helping them smile in the morning with their first cup. Insert a single sized coffee bag
  • Shot drinkers, the thrift store is full of shot glasses, buy a couple and wrap with shot sized bottle of their favorite drink
  • Romantic dinner gift basket, box of pasta noodles, jar or can of sauce, and a CD burned with love songs
  • Young girls like makeup, just go to dollar store and fill a cute basket with makeup and lip glosses
  • Go to a used book store and find cheap books with craft projects like building paper air planes, young boys would love this
  • If a friend or family member is out of a job give them things they could really use, toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste. Make it cute by calling it a survival kit.
  • Cookie lovers, put all the measured dry ingredients of a batch of chocolate chip cookies in a mason jar. Write recipes on an index card and top if off with a bow. You could even paste a cute or funny picture of yourself on the front of the jar
  • For babies, the thrift store has so many cute clothes. Take them home and wash them so they smell like fresh and neatly fold them in a cute basket

Don’t be afraid to use the thrift store there can be many quality items there and if need be drive to a thrift store close to an upscale neighborhood or even a garage sale in an upscale neighborhood. Check out stores like Ross, Marshalls and T.J. Max. They sell department store brands at a much cheaper rate. For cute handmade items and hours of Internet shopping check out the Website etsy.com or eBay. Good luck and Merry Christmas.
