As a long term sufferer of bacterial vaginosis, I’ve tried numerous treatments over the years and it was only when I tried a natural home remedy for bacterial vaginosis that I was finally able to find freedom.

Bacterial vaginosis was literally ruining my life. I had all the usual symptoms such as the intolerable itching and burning and the watery discharge that was so bad that I sometimes felt I had incontinence! I was really self-conscious of that sickly, horrible, stomach-churning smell both when I was at home and in company that I used to wash myself several times a day and go through numerous changes of panties.

When I confided in one of my good friends, I was mortified to discover that she had noticed that I had body odor and that it had been mentioned by one or two others in our close circle of friends. She told me about a natural home remedy for bacterial vaginosis which she had actually used herself a couple of years previously, and I decided to give it a go.

My first encounter with BV was when I was in my late teens. I noticed that I had this really bad smell around my vagina and thought I just wasn’t washing enough. You know what it’s like when you’re growing up-you have lots of insecurities and I started to fit in an extra shower at night. I also began to carry feminine wipes around with me wherever I went. I was living at home at the time and my mom very subtly mentioned that she had noticed a "smell". We had a conversation about it and I told her I had already tried to get rid of it. A couple of days later we went along to the doctor.

The doctor told me he thought I had bacterial vaginosis and was quite dismissive really. He sent me packing with a prescription for metronidazole. Within a couple of days, my symptoms has all but gone and to say I was delighted was an understatement! My confidence quickly returned but sadly, it was short-lived.

Within just a few short weeks I noticed that all-too familiar itching and that stomach-turning smell.

I’d recently started going out with a great guy and it was very much early days. The bacterial vaginosis coming back was the last thing I needed. I knew what to do this time though. Off I went to the doctors and came back with more metronidazole and once again it worked. However, this happened twice more and I suddenly had the horrible realization that I was never going to get rid of it. The antibiotics weren’t working any more and over the next couple of years, I spent a fortune on over the counter treatments which were, quite honestly, an expensive waste of money. Never once did I even consider using a natural home remedy for bacterial vaginosis as I didn’t know this was possible and my doctor never mentioned it.

I carried clean underwear with me wherever I went and went through pack after pack of wet wipes. Despite all my efforts though, there was no other way to describe it-I really stank! Although my boyfriend and I had started a sexual relationship, I would be forever making excuses not to be intimate and would only have intercourse immediately after a bath or shower, when I would smother myself in perfumes and intimate deodorants.

What really worried me was just who had noticed. My boss? My work colleagues? My big brother? My uncle? People on the train to work? How terribly embarrassing!

Before I took the plunge and tried the natural home remedy for bacterial vaginosis recommended to me, I uncovered a few simple natural remedies of my own which really helped.

* Stop washing so much! Wash only twice daily and use unperfumed soaps.

* Never douche

* Try taking garlic capsules as these can help to clear any inflammation

* Dip a tampon in probiotic yogurt and leave in the vagina for an hour or two

* Tea tree oil pessaries can help to kill off harmful bacteria in the vagina

When I took a close look at the natural home remedy for bacterial vaginosis, I was surprised to see that it promised a complete cure within just 3 days. Now, for a long-term sufferer, this was a dramatic and seemingly unbelievable claim. I figured that it was worth a try as I had that nice money-back guarantee to back it up if I was at all unhappy.

Well, it did exactly as promised. With this best selling BV remedy, I was almost symptom free by the next day and within three days, I was completely back to normal and I have never had bacterial vaginosis again.

Although not harmful in its early stages, if bacterial vaginosis is left untreated it can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease and can even render some women infertile. Therefore, it is always a good idea to treat the condition promptly. You are particularly at risk if you get repeated attacks. By treating BV naturally, you can quickly restore balance in the vagina and get back to normal within no time, even if you are a long term sufferer.

There is an excellent, robust strategy which is guaranteed to work providing you are willing to invest a little time and effort, and which has helped many thousands of women worldwide be completely free of bacterial vaginosis for good.
