Image is DEFINITELY everything! Whether you are seeking a new job, preparing for the next big celebration in your life, or just looking for a change, your image is your focus.
Some think that image is only about what you look like, but that is not totally true. Your image is affected by both internal and external factors. If you feel like a million bucks internally, that is how you’ll carry yourself, and this is what the world will see - someone who thinks highly of themselves. If you feel like you’re worthless, then that is what the world will see. Whatever is going on with you internally will eventually manifest itself externally. So the question is "what type of image do you really want?"
Working on your image is a process. The first step towards creating a better image is figuring out what it is you really want out of life. Do you want a career in a different field? Do you need more organization in your life? Would you like to have more success in your life? To answer questions such as these, you need to first figure out who you REALLY are; not who you "think" you are, but who you REALLY are.
So let’s begin. First, you need to visualize yourself with the image you want. Remember…you don’t have to limit your vision solely to what you currently know and experience. Exercise faith, and believe that you can achieve great things - it’s part of establishing a great image! Next, write your vision down. By writing out your vision, you are well on your way towards the next step - planning. What it takes to establish your image needs to be thought out and planned. What steps do you need to take to get the image you really want? What tools do you need? Do you need to visit your local bookstore or library, or do you need the guidance of another? You decide the steps you need to take, because you know the image you want to make! Now that you’ve visualized your new image, written your new image down, and planned, you have to set this all into motion. If you take no action, you will not get the image you want, so get to work and enjoy!
Next time, I’ll tell you how to establish the image you need for the area you want more success in!
