One of the most important times of your life is the day you walk down the aisle for your special wedding. Every bride’s dream is to have her father walk her down the aisle and have her mother be there as well. What happens if your father/mother has passed and can not be there for this special day? Do you have something special that your father or mother gave to you that have sentimental values? If your mother is passed on maybe she gave you some kind of jewelry like a pearl necklace, or a rhinestone necklace. To have your mother part of your wedding even though she is not there, you can use this necklace in your hair. By interweaving the pearl necklace into your wedding hairstyle your mother will be with you during the whole wedding.

An easy wedding up do that you can choose for the pearls is a bun barrel roll. This wedding hairstyle can be done on short, medium, and long hair. Make sure your hair is washed, free of all tangles, and completely straight. If you need to flat iron it first. Place some hair gel onto the top and sides of your hair. Comb it smooth. Then create a ponytail by using the top of sides of your hair. Make sure the ponytail sits in the middle of the crown area on your head. Secure the ponytail with an elastic band. Comb the ponytail straight down to smooth it out. Then roll under with your fingers and pin with bobby pins. I suggest using 2-3 pins to hold it. Now the bun should be complete. Take the hair from the length that is hanging smooth it out and roll under with your fingers. Allow this to come to the nape area of your head. Pin it under with bobby pins. Grab the pearl necklace from your mother and wrap it around the top of the bun. The pearl necklace should also come over the top of the roll you placed by the nape of the neck. This style looks very elegant and easy to do.

What can you do to keep the memories of your father at your wedding? This one is hard, because the item that you love most from your father may not be a piece of jewelry. If it’s a piece of jewelry you can add it to your hairstyle or maybe even your flower bouquet. If it’s something else like a stuff animal, picture, piece of clothing, or a song try to make it fit into a part of your wedding either at the church, reception, or part of your wardrobe. At such happy events like a wedding it’s so hard when one of our loved ones is missing.

Another idea is to have your mother or father’s favorite color of flower placed at the head table with a sweet poem. If you want place the flowers on each table as your wedding centerpieces to be original. Think of what your father/mother would have enjoyed at your wedding. So many possibilities here just be creative.
