Why Use Crystal Elixirs?

Crystal elixirs are useful for various reasons whether for consumption or crystal bathing for enchantment and healing, as well as a few others. You can make crystal elixirs by infusing the energy of the crystals you have cleansed, cleared and programmed for your particular use, into a glass full of water, since water is a conductor of energy and has memory capacity. However, before making any crystal elixir, you must always investigate the type of crystal you use for safety and health purposes as well as boil the bottles and containers. The size of the crystal is your choice; however, it seems that a pair of smaller crystals can produce an interesting and powerful elixir.

Does it matter what kind of Water, Lighting or other Items you use in Crystal Elixirs?

You can use distilled or reverse osmosis water and even boiled tap water; however, some may also make use of pure rainwater and clear stream waters, since any of the chemicals in community water can terminate the vibrational energies present in the crystals in use. Simply set your chosen pure and natural crystal in a glass container, fill it with water, and then let it sit in sunlight or moonlight for anywhere between two to twenty-four hours.

Keep in mind while working with these natural sources of lighting that placing your elixir in the sun will influence more yang or masculine energy, while moonlight offers more yin or feminine energy. However, while making your crystal elixirs you should not mix the crystals together, rather you should make an elixir from each different stone and in its own glass container. Remember that any markings on the glass containers will also influence the outcome of your elixir, as will any other item you may use such as herbs, written and spoken words.

Do not use Tainted Elixirs Internally!

Always check for any type of fungus growth after letting your concoctions sit for a while. If you do find fungus, you should not use that particular elixir for consumption or bathing purposes, however, you will need to begin again to make the crystal elixir you desire with clean crystals and containers. You might choose to use the water from a tainted elixir to water your outside plants, as they would benefit from the vibrational energies instilled in the elixir.

Storing Crystal Elixirs

When you plan to store crystal elixirs made from anything other than distilled water, for a while, you should also add a preservative and stabilizer for the vibrational energies now present in your crystal elixir such as brandy, vodka, apple cider vinegar or vegetable glycerin into the water, by fifty percent. After you have made your elixir, you will want to place the finished product in dark bottles with good seals for storage. Be sure that you correctly mark your bottles, so you will know which elixir is which and for what purpose, whether they are your mother, stock or dosage bottles as well as the date they are made. Take care that when storing your crystal elixirs from various makings that they are not touching.

Strengthening Your Crystal Elixirs

When working with crystals that are not water safe, you will add water to a glass and then surround the glass with a circle of crystals from which you plan to make your elixir. You may also choose to circle these crystals with clear quartz crystals to increase the focus of power while infusing the properties of the crystals into your crystal elixir. However, you must keep fire safety rules in mind when working with clear quartz crystals and sunlight, as they can easily cause fires. Circling the elixir with a ring of clear quartz is safer done inside and in darkness. Another method is the use of double containers, whereby you place water in one container and place your crystals in another separate container. On the other hand, you may also simply hold your crystal in your hand and place it up against the outside of a glass of water and charge the water by the focus of your intention.

Once you have your crystal elixir made, simply shake the bottle before every use and then add about five to ten drops of the elixir to a glass of water and then drink or a few drops to your tub for crystal bathing. You can cause no harm when making crystal elixirs when your intent is for good and in the spirit of helpfulness. The effects of crystal elixirs are gentle and delicate although very powerful, with them; you are able to shift the patterns of the body to an almost ideal state of love, trust, forgiveness, peace and joy. However, as with many other mystical issues, they work best when you believe that they will work for you.

Next I will tell you about the different kinds of crystals you can use for crystal bathing, such as: Agate, amazonite, amber, amethyst, aquamarine, azurite, bloodstone, carnelian, citrine, diamond, emerald, gold, hematite, herkimer diamond, jade, jasper, labradorite, lapis lazuli, moldavite, moonstone, onyx, opal, pearl, peridot, clear quartz, rose quartz, smoky quartz, ruby, sapphire, star sapphire, sodalite, tigers eye, topaz and turquoise as well as how they can help you.

Crystal Elixirs are great and can benefit you in many ways, for instance this crystal homemade bath recipe for crystal bathing may be just the thing you need! Interesting idea isn’t it, however like all wonderful ideas you should do the research and find out for yourself when you are considering alternative uses for gemstone crystals and precious metals before you try them.

This is interesting. I plan to build an 'tower buster' (organite) that includes a water-clear crystal, but the one that I bought was so sweet I gave it to my wife instead of using it for my own needs. I had not realized that they 'become cloudy' and 'become clear' -is this normal? In her crystal (which sits on the window ledge of our bedroom) I have seen it become cloudy (and still attractive that way) and also, become water-clear again... What's up with that? -thestickman

Interesting, I've never heard of an organite, thanks for the search idea and findings. I'm not sure of the crystal you have, best guess a quartz crystal, since they are sometimes clear. Crystals are living things even though they are just rocks, they have their own vibrations and energy and they do pick up on the energy around them as well. It is not uncommon for some crystals to seem to change in appearance from clear to cloudy. A lot of people may not be so observant. Considering what may be going on at the time may give you a clue...when you notice this change. It has to do with moving energy as well as the crystals chemical makeup.

I have a Universally activated quartz crystal, I use to to potentize the flower essence I use, along with rain water. The rain water I use I have collected with phases of the moon and different planetary alignments. I labeled the water when it rained. I have not attempted to place the crystal in the water and wonder if this would be a good thing, as indicated in your article. I use this mixture mostly for an external spray, as I find the aura can be very contaminated with negative energy and shadow figures, and spraying the aura immediately clears the energy field. I have the rain water stored in clear glass jars. Once the crystal energy has been added, should it be covered with a dark cloth? Will that work? Thanks for your help. BTW...this article was most helpful! Thanks!

Sorry for the lateness in replying Cheril, I am glad that Crystal Elixirs 101: How to prepare, mix, strengthen, and store is most helpful! I think using the dark cloth sounds just fine. :)
