Just about everyone loves trivia. Actually trivia is pretty cool and well sometimes it helps you get lucky. Here is a bit of interesting and insightful Crystal Trivia, who knows maybe it will help you win some kind of a contest some day! That would be cool huh?

For instance, it would be nice if Tiffany Jewelers, Blue Nile, Zales, Kay, Hamilton Jewelers and the list of jewelers could go on to your local jewelers held crystals gemstones, precious metals trivia contests that you could win if you knew the answers. Sure, it would!

Let us imagine that wonderful jewelry store, whether local or online held a gemstone, crystal jewelry contest, and the question is, “Besides a Diamond, what other gemstone is perfect for Aries?"

However, you are not an Aries and the jeweler holds the contest in May. What if by reading this bit of crystal trivia, you might be able to win, by sending in the answer of Emeralds.

Hey, at least we can wish and prepare as best we can! Heck, I’d be thrilled with a crystal gemstone, precious metal prize gift, just for offering them the idea of a crystal gemstone trivia contest; however, I do know that the smart jewelers already hold such contests.    ;)

- Crystals and Sun Signs

The astrological associations for the various crystals include:

Aries - Aquamarine, Aventurine, Bloodstone, Citrine, Diamond, Emerald, Hematite, Jade and Clear Quartz

Taurus - Carnelian, Diamond, Emerald, Jade, Red Jasper, Clear and Rose Quartz

Gemini - Agate, Crazy-lace Agate, Tree Agate, Apatite, Aquamarine, Celestite, Citrine, Emerald, Howlite, Jade, Lodestone and Clear Quartz

Cancer - Carnelian, Moonstone, Opal, Clear Quartz, Ruby and Silver

Leo - Amber, Citrine, Diamond, Garnet, Jasper, Labradorite, Onyx, Peridot, Clear Quartz, Ruby and Sunstone

Virgo - Moss Agate, Amazonite, Amethyst, Garnet, Lodestone, Peridot, Clear Quartz and Sapphire

Libra - Ametrine, Bloodstone, Citrine, Jade, Lepidolite, Moonstone, Opal, Clear and Rose Quartz, Sapphire and Sunstone

Scorpio - Labradorite, Malachite, Moonstone, Opal, Peridot, Clear Quartz, Rubelite, Ruby and Turquoise

Sagittarius - Azurite, Herkimer diamond, Labradorite, Lapis lazuli, Opal, Peridot, Clear and Smokey Quartz, Rubelite, Ruby, Sapphire, Sodalite, Topaz and Turquoise

Capricorn - Amethyst, Garnet, Jet, Malachite, Clear and Smokey Quartz and Tigers-eye

Aquarius - Amber, Amethyst, Aquamarine, Garnet, Hematite and Clear Quartz

Pisces - Blue-lace Agate, Amethyst, Aquamarine, Bloodstone, Opal, Clear Quartz and Turquoise

- Daily Crystals

There are certain crystals associated with various days of the week they are as follows.

On Sunday, use pearl while making talismans and wear citrine, diamond, tiger’s eye, topaz or sunstone.

On Monday, use emerald for fashioning your amulets, while wearing clear quartz crystal, moonstone, pearl and silver.

On Tuesday, topaz is useful for making amulets; you should also wear bloodstone, garnet, Herkimer diamonds, emerald, ruby and star sapphires.

Use turquoise for your amulets, while wearing agates, amethyst, citrine, lodestone or star rubies on Wednesday.

Sapphire is useful in rituals, while wearing blue lace agate, carnelian, lapis lazuli and sapphire on Thursday.

On Friday, use ruby for creating your amulets and talismans, while wearing emerald, jade, green aventurine, malachite and rose quartz all the day long.

Saturday is a good day for using amethyst in rituals and amulets while wearing agate, carnelian, diamond, labradorite, smoky quartz and turquoise.

- Crystal Birthstones

January birthstones include Garnet. The Garnet is a crystal of health; it will encourage success and stability.

February birthstones include Amethyst. Amethyst is a crystal of happiness, wearing this crystal brings harmony and peace.

March celebrates its birth with Bloodstone and Aquamarine. Aquamarine is a crystal of courage; sailors carried it with them for safe sea travel. Bloodstone provides a balancing effect and influences self-confidence and wonderful new ideas.

April birthstones include Diamond. Diamonds symbolize innocence, joy of life, love, trust and confidence.

Emerald heralds in those born in May. Emerald is a crystal of basic nature and when worn brings peace of mind and tranquility.

Moonstone and Pearl are some of the birthstones for June. Wearing pearls encourages truth and symbolizes youth. Moonstone is a gentle and loving crystal, which offers love, long life and loyalty to those who wear it.

July celebrates with a birthstone of Ruby. Wearing Rubies brings wealth and contentment.

Peridot welcomes those born in August. The Peridot is a crystal of understanding that will encourage clarity of thought and intelligence.

Sapphires in September get along quite well. Sapphires are a crystal that represents purity; it encourages the balance of the emotions and our physical bodies.

Opals in October follow right along, as represent the deep and binding powers of true love.

November birthstones include Topaz and Citrine. Topaz is a crystal of faith and goodwill, it enhances the feelings of joy, and they increase creativity and interesting ideas. Citrine aids in finding our direction in life, while being excellent in bringing a deeper knowledge of ones inner self, it is a very helpful crystal for those born in November.

Turquoise is the birthstone for December. Turquoise is a crystal of enchantment, since it will change colors in time, it encourages victory and hope to those who wear it.

- For Every Season there is a Crystal

The warm lush greens of the Emerald represent the springtime.

The rich reds of a Ruby represent summertime.

Wintertime celebrates itself with Diamonds.

Fall or autumn are perfectly happy with the cool brilliance of the Sapphire.

- Crystals and the Planets

Sun - Topaz

Moon - Pearl

Mars - Ruby

Mercury - Amethyst

Jupiter - Sapphire

Saturn - Diamond

Venus - Emerald

There are various things you can do while using crystals, for instance since gemstones and crystals have various healing powers you can use them to heal your inner child, relieve stress, anger, tensions as well as many other disadvantages to your mind body and spirit. You may even consider using your gemstones or crystals while bathing in a crystal bath to help enhance relaxation, peacefulness and balance. Crystals and gemstones are also wonderful for crystal elixirs!

One thing is for certain, when you make the best use of your gemstones and crystals you can encourage your own good health and general well-being.:
