Favors should be given at all bridal showers. Guests do not expect to receive large gifts, they would just like something small to remember the day with. You should not spend a lot of money on these favors, but they should be creative.

Do-It-Yourself Ideas:

Potpourri sachets work well. Just purchase simple, or designed sachets. Put a small amount of potpourri in each. You can also use netting. Use a nice ribbon to tie off the sachet, and personalized card.

Make small sachets using netting. Fill with plantable seeds. They will give guests something to remember the day by for years to come. Provide the name of the plant on the card.

Print personalized bookmarks from your computer. A good idea is to put a picture of the bride and groom on it. Pictures of them when they were kids can make it even more fun. Have them laminated for your guests.

Ask the guest of honor for a list of her favorite love songs. Put the songs onto Cd’s for your guests. Place them in individual holders; you can print out personalized covers from your computer.

Bake cookies for your guests. Use cookie cutters that compliment a wedding. Put a couple of cookies in cellophane, personalize with a little note.

Have the guest of honor to provide her favorite recipes. Put all of the recipes in small individual cookbooks for the guests. You can also use other recipes, but be sure to note her favorites.

Purchase small chocolate bars, and remove the paper wrapper. Print out personalized wrappers from your computer.

Use plastic wine glasses. Fill each one with small chocolates, or potpourri. Use small drops of glue to secure pearls, or ribbon around the edge.

Ask the guest of honor what her favorite plant, or flower is. Purchase small flower pots, and personalize with paint. Plant her favorite plant or flower in each.

Inexpensive Favors:

Disposable cameras are great favors. Give them to your guests before the party. They can take pictures during the wedding shower, and it is pictures they choose to have.

Get pictures of the bride and groom. Make copies of them, and put in small individual frames for each guest.

Candles are always a good choice. All women like candles. The candles should have the wedding colors, and have a pleasant scent.

If you would like to have favors, but do not want to make them yourself, find something inexpensive. Gifts that can be used are always a good idea. Shop around and find inexpensive items. Key chains, manicure sets, and compact mirrors are great gifts for women.

There are great websites that have personalized gifts for inexpensive prices. Do a search online for inexpensive wedding favors; you may be surprised about the items you can find.

When deciding on favors, think of items the bride will like. Be creative and give favors that people will enjoy. Personalize items with pictures of the bride and groom, or nice notes. You do not have to spend a fortune on these items, think of inexpensive items that can be made into nice gifts.
