Free Websites Come With High Costs

Free Internet Fax Options

There are some legitimate business opportunities out there is cyberspace on which people have made a lot of money. However, there are other opportunities that may offer you the chance to get into business for free that often end up being quite costly.

One of the most popular pitches include the claim that the owner of these sites has tried hundreds of online job claims and finally found one enabling them to earn real money. They are now looking for a few hundred, or thousand people, with which to include in their good fortune. They will set you up in business for free. All you have to do is allow them to set up their web site with your name on it.

The deal is that every purchase made through your individual site will earn you money allowing you to make money while you sleep, or turn your money into a cash machine, or some other catch phrase that promises you a huge income opportunity. The issue is, how do people find your individual website in order to make those purchases?

Once you have agreed to the site, at no cost and a few days go by with no visitors, you may receive another offer from a different site to promote your business. This may sound like a good idea, consider it only costs, usually less than $30 a month to promote your site, complete with a money back guarantee.

So, you sign up to see how much you can make with this small investment. Before agreeing to this fee, think about it.

Say you are now in the business of referring people to buy widgets, whatever they are, from your host company. The company you hired to promote you site, promises to deliver visitors to your site. Chances are if you go to an online search engine and enter the search terms for widgets, much like any prospective buyer would do, you will be directed to the main company’s site…not yours.

Unless a person enters your specific site information, usually called a referral code, they can be directed to, if not the main site, then to one of thousands of others who have signed up with the same company as you. If won’t take long to realize that the company promoting your site is owned by the same company selling widgets. They likely make more money by the promotions than they make from selling widgets.

Oh NOW that's not fair! They use your website to promote their business and the responder clicks on a button and comes to the company's site and not yours... wow! How do people think these scams up?!

That's not all! Say you decide to promote the product highlighted when you sign up for what amounts to an online franchise. They give you the site for free, but you will have to promote it to get visitors. Think about a fast-food franchise. The advertising cost is shared by hundreds of franchise owners, but when a customer drives by one with the same name, they stop. You own the rights in that geographical location. On the internet, someone might be interested in the product and when enter a search engine, what are the chances they are going to land on your site? Net to nothing. The main company has spent a ton of money to optimize their site and probably more to buy keywords. You are paying to promote a site that will end up sending visitors somewhere else.
