Crystal and Ice Light Up a Deep-Winter Wedding

Once upon a time, wedding bouquets were made of herbal garlands. You do know that every herb and every flower has a special meaning all its own, right. New brides in those days were content to carry these simple herbal garlands as their wedding bouquets. As time passed away the stunning floral wedding posy carried by a queen replaced the simple wedding garland bouquets traditional of the ancients.

- Fast-forward many years into the future:

Hollywood with all its glamor and glitz began fashioning the popularity of elegant wedding bouquets for various celebrity weddings and movies and then the new brides of that day kept that wedding trend going because they wanted their wedding bouquets to be similar to those that their favorite celebrities carried down the aisle. Wedding bouquets symbolize fertility, happiness and prosperity. They are also a stunning compliment to every wedding ceremony as well as every bridal gown and bride. Eventually wedding bouquet design returned to more nostalgic times for many new brides as their choice of wedding bouquets became more elegantly simplistic.

- How to Carry Your Wedding Bouquet

There are various designs and styles of wedding bouquets. Each has its own particular way of being carried by the bride. For instance, cascading bouquets, crescent bouquets, round and heart-shaped bouquets are carried in the front. Small and lightweight wedding bouquets that are more delicate in appearance are often nosegays of single blossoms are carried in one hand and to the side. However, if you wish you can carry them in front of you. An adult will carry the floral pomander bouquets to the side, while children carry them in front of them. Arm bouquets should rest on the forearm at the inner bend of your elbow so that you carry then nestled in the cradle of your arm.

- Wedding Bouquets and Comparison-Shopping Of course, there are various other styles of wedding bouquets from which you can choose. Remember to take your time to do some comparison-shopping in order to find the most perfect wedding bouquet style to carry down the aisle when you meet your new groom at the alter.

- Floral Symbolism During the Victorian times, a gentleman was considered very improper to let a lady know of his feelings for her. Instead, they used flowers and their symbolic meaning do the talking for them. Flowers and herbs have special meanings; most of them are very well known.

The different colors of roses speak of love.

* White Roses represent innocence, beauty and charm.

* Red Roses symbolize passion.

* Dark Pink Roses convey a deep thankfulness for finding one another.

* Tulips represent an undying love.

* Daisies symbolize an innocent, romantic spirit of love.

* Calla Lilies convey charm, elegance and refinement in a wedding bouquet.

* Mixing in shades of greenery or ivy vines along with a bouquet of roses represents devotion to the marriage.

There are many types of flowers and herbs and they all have their own special meaning alone and while combined in a wedding bouquet. Those above represent just a few of them and their meaning.

- Considering Your Wedding Bouquet

While considering the type of flowers and the style you prefer in wedding bouquets, take your time and consider them deeply. One thing you may want to consider is having a special wedding bouquet that you can throw during this wedding ceremony ritual. By having a spare to throw to the others, you will still be able to keep your own wedding bouquet as a special wedding day keepsake, you will treasure forever and so will the lucky friend who happens to catch the special wedding bouquet, you toss over your shoulder!

- Wedding Day Fun & Games

You may want to also consider having miniature wedding bouquets as wedding favors for your wedding, since every young girl in attendance will want to follow your lead and be a bride herself. All these future brides will be thrilled with their own miniature wedding bouquet from your wedding as a special keepsake. You may even consider having one made just for you to add to your wedding treasures to display. Consider the beauty of a floral centerpiece arrangement made of miniature wedding bouquet favors. You can use it for a decoration until you are able to have them passed out or picked up for your younger wedding guests as well as those who are young at heart. This is a wonderful idea since we all know that getting your hands on a wedding bouquet is indeed something very special!
