Nodulocystic Acne: Causes And Home Remedies And Herbal Treatments

Almost everyone has acne sometime in there life, whether its just one pimple here and there or a lot more severe. It is a pain for everyone no matter how serious it is. Today, I will tell you several ways to get rid of acne, from home remedies to prescribed medication.

* Change your pillow case every night. This will prevent oil and dirt that was left on the pillow the night before from getting into your pimples and making them worse or adding more.

* Trying changing the soap you use. A lot of people say that Ivory’s “Sensitive Skin” product is very good at cleaning your face and preventing or getting rid of acne.

* DO NOT POP YOUR ZITS. When you pop them they will most likely get infected and make them for inflamed and red, or cause new ones. If you MUST pop one, clean your face first, pop the zit, and then clean your face again. After you clean it apply whatever acne product you use to the area where it is.

* Don’t touch your face. The more you touch your face the more dirty and oil get on it and can make the acne worse.

* Drink a lot of water. Drinking water will help the body flush toxins from itself that can cause acne.

* Try Proactiv. There are many acne products available, proactiv is the most popular. Many people say it has worked for them, but many have also said that their acne returns worse after they stop using it.

* Eat healthy. Many people think that there is no link between acne and eating right, but why not eat right anyway? There is a chance it can cure your acne so stop eating all that junk food.

* Exercise. When you exercise and you sweat, make sure that you wipe yourself down as soon as you are done, and take a shower. Leaving the sweat on yourself can infect the pimples and make them worse.

* Sleep. Many people think that just like eating healthy, not enough sleep and stress is not a factor in acne. Get a good nights sleep and try to lower your stress level. They don’t call it beauty sleep for nothing!

* Sunlight. Some have claimed that the sunlight has helped there acne. Being out in the sun dries up the skin, which gets rid of the oil so it could work. Also getting a tan will make your acne lessnoticeable as your skin darkens. Don’t get to much sun or you will get a sunburn, don’t forget sunscreen! Make sure you use 15 SPF or higher water freesuncreen.

* Benzoyl Peroxide. Any product with benzoyl peroxide in it will work. You can put this on your acne once or twice a day. It helps break of dead skin cells, oil and bacteria that clogs the pore forming the pimple. You can get 2.5%, 5% or 10%. Start with the lowest at first. If you have sensitive skin and you start using 10% twice a day it will only irritate the skin and make it appear more red than it already is. Start by using this once per day and if your skin can handle it move it up to twice per day.

* Washing/Applying. Don’t just wash and apply where you have acne, do it on places that are prone to get acne as well – this can include the face, neck, chest and back. That way you can avoid getting more.

* Make-Up. If you use make-up try using water based kinds instead. It will not clog the poors as much oil based products.

* Keep your hair out of your face. Keep your hair up and out of your face. The oil from your hair can rub off onto your face causing more acne or worsening of it. Try to avoid oily hair gel as it can also make it worse.

* Baking soda. Mix baking soda with water until it forms a thick paste. Apply it to your face and leave it on for 30-45 minutes and then rinse with warm water.

* Toothpaste. Many people have reported toothpaste to work as well. Dab some on the affected areas at night, and then wash it off the morning.

* Alcochol. This one is a pretty big debate. Some claim that it helps, while some claim that is makes the acne worse. Try it if you want to, maybe you will be one of the people it works on. Personally when I tried using it, I saw no change making things better or worse.

* Doctor. When all else fails go your doctor or dermatologist. They can prescribe several medications to help your acne. The best one being acutane. Acutane has some side effects, most are minor. However, it can cause depression ( mostly in teenagers because the are more at risk than others ), because of this you have to go back to your doctor once per month for a check-up. It can also damage your liver ( which is VERY rare ) so you need to get a blood test done before you are able to take it. The doctor will most likely prescribe something before putting you on acutane as it can be dangerous and is usually the last option.

There are many other homemade remedies that people claim work but I have found these to be among the best and most effective. Hope these help!
