We have the most popular ways that includes the petitions and the polls. Do you really think that it works? The petitions are just to make impression that public is doing something and we all feel happy by participating in it.
We participate in the elections and cast our votes. It makes the change in the electoral candidates, but it does not have great impact of the global issues. So, what do you think about the kind of petitions. We need practical approach, and you have the platform for it. The usual petition says:
“We the undersigned appeal that global warming should not be there-signed by 1 million people.”
We feel that it can make our voice heard. However, imagine about the following:
“We the undersigned pledge that we will not use the following products that create the global warming:
1. Plastic bags
2. Electric bulbs that can be replaced with less energy consuming bulbs
3. The recyclable products
4. Organic products
5. Electronics like the calculators that use the Solar cells and other forms of renewable energy
Now, these examples can be thousands and thus we do not have to create pressure and make our selves as the pigeon does, it closes eyes believing that the cat cannot see it, but it kills the pigeon and eats.
When we make petitions all the concerned people do understand that we are right, but at the same time they know we all are addicts and cannot leave using the products that harm nature. Thus, all of this petition work is just self-assumed satisfaction. In reality we do not want to give up the consumption of anti-natural products as if the worst kind of addiction.
Now, if we use pledge, we are bound not to go against it, and the petitions can never act as the pledges. Now, the word pledge is bogus term nowadays, so we need new term. We may say-Commitment for Gratitude to Nature and Earth from the undersigned people.
The thing is that petitions and the pledges are almost same if we act on these personally, however we tend to impose it on others. It does not create Wellness, but Illness. Why we are not bound to the petition that we impose to those, whom we believe they are doing wrong.
They may claim that it is in favor of nation and or the entire world. If we believe that something is not in our favor, we can give up by just committing to gratitude, and in other words it is self effort for Wellness.
If we care we dare and if we dare we care it is a simple way to coexist. We need to have some human standards and ethics so that our next generations may enjoy the fruits of nature. Otherwise, the robots will be enjoying the fruits of human brain, and we, the humans will be fully dependent up on the machines, computers and the equipment that do not allow us to communicate and or unite with nature.
Moreover, there can be suggestions to follow a healthy life and it is a personal matter. Now, it can be top 10 or 20 suggestions for healthy life in various factoids anyone among us. It helps one to make the resolutions and thus a practical approach. Here starts the new way that you and we all dream. The true experiences:
1. How I saved electricity
2. How I saved energy
3. How I used renewable energy
4. How I used and saved the public making an opinions that harm all
5. How I improved
Now, it is How, Why and the Ways for which some people may not wish to write a lot. They need options to convey how they did it. Each point can be as if a comment and thus earns a point:
For example, how I committed myself to gratitude for earth and saved electricity on earth day:
1. Put off all bulbs for a day
2. Used alternatives for electricity as burning the oil lamps or candles
3. Used solar cells
4. Went to public place for using light
5. Went to serve in the charitable place
6. Went to hospital to take care of patients
7. Donated the products that can save energy knowing it promotes my welfare and wellness contribution
8. Talked to children about earth
9. Advised 10 people to do it and learned by sharing with many others
10. Published some ideas, experiences, concerns, articles, messages, posters, email for sharing
Now, these practical works when shared encourage others, which is a substantial contribution. Why? The reason is that the petitions may change the governments and the companies.
However, we are in billions, who need to change and our attempt to change some seniors does not seem to show any concern, care and compassion because we keep on using what we oppose and thus it corrupts us and we shout at the governments and the authorities, and it includes the world manufactures.
I ask you one question and if you can answer in positive all conflicts can be resolved:
“If the manufacturers stop their production can we compensate them with billions of dollars, when we are not able to handle the economic crisis in our personal lives?”
It does not have answer. However, the petitions say it, but if I were the manufacturer, my question would have been:
“Can you guide me what I should manufacture so that I do not have to sack your kids and other family members, relatives and friends?”
Now, it needs opinion from the experts not from the ordinary people, who can tell that the players could have managed to throw the ball into the goal. When we sign a petition we treat as if we have received a whistle for a successful goal against what we oppose.
It makes the need for life coaches that we are facing the real problems, not just imaginary ones that can be solved with petitions and polls. Then what?
We invite the marketers and the manufactures first to give why, how and what is exactly the situation. It needs the petition with full data, information and knowledge about why they do what we oppose.
After learning it and discussing, we may resolve the problems without petitions and the protests. We seem to break the social structure.
Now, it needs online research as well that should not be based on facts and figures about who is the culprit. If we use plastic and ask the manufacturer to stop it, we are illogical. Suppose, we sign a petition:
“The ABC factory should not produce plastic bags, we appeal”
Undersigned by 1 million people, and now, let us compare it with the following:
“The ABC factory should not produce plastic bags, and if they produce bags from recyclable material and or that is useful for natural world, we the undersigned will buy it,”
Undersigned by half million or 10,000 people with agreement that they will buy as the ABC company agrees to make it a legal agreement from all those, who sign it with legal bond. Shouting? Why? Why should we involve in such legal agreements.
It is all right.
However, the manufacturer has gone through so many legal procedures and spends so many dollars that to start a new business in such a big competition is not a child’s game. We are acting as if insincere and irresponsible people, who know how to yell and shout. It is not for the Wellness.
So, kindly think about it and kindly do not launch any petition site because you can manage what I have expressed and I am sure that most of the companies willing to sell their products with 10-50% commission will be eager to have so many legal customers and thus the change in the way they manufacture.
