What is the obsession with the mystery in tarot cards? So many people are interested in this way of looking into the future. I have always found myself interested in palm reading and astrology and the unknown. I know I’m not alone in my interest.
Back in the 80’s was the first time I ever went to a card reader. I spent $15.00 for a 25 minute reading and when it was done, I felt like she did a fine job. She hit on many issues of my life and was correct on quite a few. There were a few issues I thought she would be wrong about. Much to my surprise things happened which she spoke of. Although I did think it was impossible. She was more correct then wrong. So not only did I feel like $15.00 was not a lot to pay, I also felt like it was money well spent.
A few years later, sometime in the early 90’s I went to a different card reader.
I soon realized that the art of Fortune telling wasn’t all it should be. I never went to another fortune teller again. Many people are taking advantage of people that come to them for guidance. People are giving the impression they can read your cards. When what they are really doing is more like guessing and assuming.
Growing up in life I realized I had a gift to see things and feel things. I couldn’t understand it and it took along time for me to realize what a special gift I had.
I never went through life announcing to people I have a gift. Often people close too me realize it after time. As a child it was a scary thing and you didn’t talk about. People would label me strange, I was different but far from strange. It took many years before I knew exactly what I had, or how to deal with it.
I dislike people who prey on the concern a person may have on what there future holds. I often go to my local botanica to purchase items I use for myself or persons that seek guidance. I have noticed all botanica’s have fortune tellers. As many people know, in a botanica you can get a card reading. What I don’t like is the fact the rates for having your cards read, is very high in cost. I don’t understand why a person is charged $30.00, $40.00 or more for a 25 minute reading. I would think if you do card readings and you are on point with the readings. That would make people return more often and tell their friends and family about you. This would bring more clients to you. So why not charge a lower fee. I understand it does take much energy to do these reading. I am not a stranger to how it draws from you physically and mentally, I have done many a reading for people and I think that $30.00 is far too much to pay. You have a gift, charging such a high fee is not a show of appreciation for this gift.
This will continue because people will always be curious to know what will happen.
Don’t be so desperate to find out the unknown and you end up paying out money, that is nothing more then stealing from you. Someone who is gifted and truly cares to spread the gift by performing readings might request to receive a donation for the reading, but not the high price of $30.00 or more.
It is so easy to get lost in the world of the unknown. Don’t fall victim to people who are out there only to profit from you being curious.
