Based on experiences I had with people I’ve been working with, this happens on a regular basis. I think adults aren’t doing things like this on many occasions, but when a teenager is working during jobs, and many things like high school work, this is bound to happen.
When they are in the middle of working on something, their stomachs begin to rumble. Then it somehow trigger the person’s mind and let’s them think about anything, but get a bite to eat. Most people find that insulting that you are focusing more on food than on business. So this is what to do in order to keep your mind focused on work and away from food.
First, have a big breakfast. It has to be long enough to supply you until its lunch time. Make sure it’s some type of meal that won’t let your mind focus on eating even more. Then when you start working, you can feel a slight change. Your stomach is fully supplied and you feel very informative. It’s not an easy trick. You have to be careful on what type of breakfast you’re eating.
Lunch time has arrived. Make it a big platter and eat it before going back to work. Bosses don’t like an employee after break or in their office (unless they allow doing it themselves) Lunch is bigger than breakfast. So everything you do in the morning is going to double your process thinking. When you get in that room, you will feel completely different and addicted to your work. This happens to me all the time, and it feels very good.
Finally, dinner time has reached the clock. You are not in your office, but you have office work to do at home. Around this time, you can eat before, during, or after work. It doesn’t matter. It’s your home. Just make sure get work done as much as you can.
This is how to balance work and food. Work hard and don’t let the edible goodness take over your mind and away from your career. Food comes and goes just like that. The only thing it is used for is giving you energy and to survive the next day. As for work, it also comes to go. But the difference is that it is harder than getting food. Work just doesn’t comes and go. There is always a time in your life where you are going to work.
