Pink is a very hot wedding color this year, especially for the summer. Some of the hottest shades of pink for this year 2009 are hot pink, magenta pink, peach pink, and a pale pink. Think how beautiful pink would look with different colors in your wedding. If you are having a pink wedding theme and looking for another wedding color to match here are a few I think would be a smash hit. Pink and green, navy blue and pink, pink and gold, pink and black, pink and turquoise, pink and lime, pink and red, brown and pink, orange and pink, and hot pink with blue and white. You can do so many different things when you have a color like pink to work with. The only thing you might have a problem with using pink is, trying to find pink candies if you’re having a candy table at your reception.
What kind of pink candies can you have or use at your pink wedding theme? Loving the color pink and candy this is quite easy for me to answer. Some of my favorite candies are pink like pink rock candy, pink gummy bears, pink candy hearts, pink strawberry whoppers, pink watermelon hard candies, pink M&M’s and many more yummy pink candies. The choices for pink candies for your wedding are endless. Once you choose which types of pink candy you want to have for your candy buffet try to mix it up a tad with a little bit more color. Add some brown, green, white, or black candy to the mix. This will make the candy table look so beautiful and elegant even though its candy. Pink is probably the easiest candy color of choice. If you want to add more creativity to the candy mix you can add strawberries, pink cotton candy, pink popcorn, or any other pink sweet treats. Use your creativity. Make sure though if you have people who have sugar problems or on diets that you have sugar-free candy as well. I would also suggest decorating the candy buffet with lace, ribbon, and flowers to give it even more of a splash. Last idea I have is to place a small radio at the candy buffet and play some songs with the word candy in them while picking are having fun choosing their favorites. What are some cute candy songs to play?
“ Candy Man” by Sammy Davis Jr. “Candy Store Rock” by Led Zeppelin, “I Want Candy” by Bow Wow Wow, “Sugar Sugar” by the Archies, “My Boy Lollipop” by the Shirelles, “Candy Girl” by New Edition, and “Hard Candy” by the Counting Crows.
Now that you have pink candy ideas and songs you will need to find a pink wedding dress. Trying to find a pink wedding dress is not as easy as it seems, especially because there are so many different shades of pink to choose from. Another thing you have to consider is how much pink do you want in your wedding gown? For a pink wedding theme you can have your entire gown pink, pink accents or trims on your gown, or a pink gown with a design. Try not to make the dress stand out too much. You want your pink wedding gown to look elegant not hideous.
