For the majority of us, odors are a problem. Even the smallest thing can cause a slight odor i your home. The hard part is eliminating the odor and making your home have a fresh clean smell. The cleaners and deodorizing products that are available can be very costly. There are other options that can be used to eliminate those odors.

Carpet odors a major problem. A problem that can be eliminated easily. All you will need to use is baking soda. Sprinkle the baking soda around your carpet. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, then vacuum it up. The baking soda will absorb the odors. This will give a great fresh scent in your home, and it only costs pennies to use.

For food disposals place lemon wedges in the disposal. Let the lemon sit in the disposal for a few minutes, then run cold water. After the water runs for about 30 seconds you can turn the disposal on. The lemons acidity will eat away any stuck on foods, and will give the disposal a fresh, long lasting scent.

Put a small amount of vinegar on a saucer, and place it in a room of your choice. Even better, buy yourself a water fountain, and put a quarter vinegar in addition to the water. The vinegar absorbs any odors in the room. You will need to be sure there is vinegar in it once a week or so.

Vinegar is also great for eliminating odors on hard surfaces. Just coat a towel with vinegar. Wipe down all hard surface with this clothe. In addition to smelling clean, it will disinfect the surfaces. You can also make a mixture of half and half vinegar and water. Put this mixture into a spray bottle. You can use this to spray on all cloth surfaces to eliminate any odors.

Now that you have done these things, go to your local dollar store, or discount retailer. Buy a couple of the low priced diffusers and place in your home. They will provide a long lasting fresh smell. This will not eliminate any odors, it just provides a fresh smell after doing so.

I hope these things help you with any odor problems you have. I have used all of these, and they work great. They are also a very good option for those of us on a tight budget.
