What is a relationship?
A relationship is when people come together with understanding and unity. A relationship is about agreeing and disagreeing.
A relationship is a form of commitment between different people, whether lovers, friends or family members. You need to have communication along with understanding in order to make it work. There are many ingredients to making a relationship work. Communication is the first and most important thing you must have in order to succeed in having a positive situation between the people involved. Communication is a big part of what a relationship should consist of. However, not many people have this.
Many people are in relationships of some sort that is nothing like what they want it to be.
Many relationships are filled with one-sided partners. You give too much of yourself and or time and get nothing in return. Yet, it just seems easier to stay because leaving is just too difficult.
Starting over after being involved in a long term relationship, can be very frightening. Once you make the choice to leave, you will go through some with drawls. It’s not easy being alone after being in a relationship with anyone. Once you get past all the moments you wish you never left. You will see the sun does shine again. Once your there, you will see life can be enjoyed without this person in your life.
If you’re in a relationship with no communication or you can’t be free to voice yourself or be yourself. This is not a positive situation for you. Although you think it is impossible to leave, it’s not.
- Ask yourself, what are the positive points in your relationship?
- Does your partner still take your breath away when in your sight?
- Do you still feel those butterflies in your stomach when you know you will see them?
- Do you feel you get the love and compassion from your partner you deserve?
- Do you feel complete in your relationship?
Many people might say after being in a relationship for some time, your partner does not have the same affect on you emotionally. I say then it’s time to make it happen again, or consider leaving the relationship.
Here’s something simple to consider doing with your partner.
- Prepare a meal together in the kitchen, this can be a very sensual thing to do.
- Laugh, talk and play together, not the playful type. Make it happen!
- Fix up a room together, make it your romance room. Redecorate it together with the thought of just spending time together in this area of the house.
- Make it a point to set aside a time in the evening to take a short walk together. It’s healthy on many levels, then come home and enjoy a hot cup of coco in your romance room.
When children are in the mix, it’s not always easy to get that time and your energy level is down. Just try to make it work to benefit both people involved.
