The planet is the moving body around the star, in an orbit, in the centripetal way with force, such that it moves around its own axis. For us, while living on the earth, we have earth as the planet moving around the star, the Sun and revolving around its own axis. Thus the planet earth, while it revolves around the sun, we have the days, nights, morning, afternoon and the evening.
