Things You’ll Need:
Posterboard
Satin Material
White Thread
Sewing Machine
Hand Sewing Needle
Fiberfill
Glue Gun/glue sticks
4-5 Small Silk Flowers
Lace Trim
1/8 " Ribbon
Pkg of tiny Silk Bows
1" Sheer Ribbon
2 Tiny heart Charms
Step 1. Using a piece of poster board cut out a heart to use as your fabric pattern. The heart shaped pillow shown has a width of 10 inches and the length of the pillow is 10 inches. You will need to cut the material an addition inch to allow for a 1 inch seam. Cut out 2 hearts form your material.
Step 2. Lay your pieces of fabric right sides together; pin the sides together.
Now you are ready to stitch the edges of the pillow using a 1 inch seam allowance. I would use a small straight stitch. Leave a 5-inch opening on one side of the heart so you can stuff your pillow with fiberfill.
Step 3. Turn the pillow right side out and fill with fiberfill, (do not overstuff the pillow; pillow should be flatter that a regular pillow). In addition, overstuffing the pillow will make the pillow hard to handle. Now push the "seam" edges of the opening toward the inside of the pillow and pin, then sew opening closed by hand or sewing machine.
Step 4. Next add your lace trim around the heart, attach the trim by hand, using a long stitch that can be removed easily. After you have the trim in place, sew on with the sewing machine allowing the stitch to be 1/4 inch away from the pillow; this will further define the heart shape.
Step 5. Next add your tiny bows with pearls. These need to be sewn on by hand.
Using a glue gun, add 3-4 long sprays of pearls to the top center of the pillow. Next glue small silk flowers on top of the pearl sprays.
Tie 1/8 inch ribbon to one of the tiny bows the middle of the heart. Tie on 2 heart charms. Add a sheer ribbon bow to the side of the front of the pillow.
