Are you a bride looking for an easy up do for your short thin hair? Some brides get very frustrated when it comes time to choose their wedding hairstyle. Either they don’t have enough hair or it’s too thin. Don’t panic, there are ways that you can fake an up do for your wedding. Just because your hair is short and thin it doesn’t mean you can’t wear styles other brides are choosing. You can do a French roll, ballerina bun, knotted style up do, twist with rhinestones, add plaits, ringlet curls piled on top of one another, decorated ponytail, and a low bun up do decorated at the nape of the neck. Here is how you can fake a wedding up do.
How to create a decorated ponytail on short thin hair for your wedding
First step- Wash your hair 2 days before your wedding. When your hair is a day or two old it tends to hold an up do much better and gives you more control over the hair.
Second step- The day of your wedding make sure all the knots and tangles are out. Take a wide tooth comb and comb your hair from root to end. If you have curly hair please straightens it first using a flat iron. Make sure you hair is completely flat. Then apply a small drop of hair serum to smooth out any frizz.
Third step- Gather all of your hair and pull it straight back into a tight ponytail. Make sure you use a coated hair band. This way the hair won’t break off. Now comb the hair straight down. Apply another small amount of hair serum onto this ponytail. The more hair serum you have on your hair the smoother it will be.
Fourth step- Then section the ponytail hair into 3 small sections. Try to make the section as equal as possible. Grab a small barrel curling iron and curl one section at a time. Before you start to curl the hair, spray lightly with a hair spray. Try to make as many curls on each section as possible. When curling the hair try to make the curls go down towards the nape of your neck. This way the curls will lay better. When you are done curling each section grab one section at a time and make a big barrel curl by using your fingers. Roll the hair downwards and pin at the nape of the neck. Do this to the other two sections. Once the sections are pinned you can add another bobby pin to hold it secure. Try and crisscross this bobby pin. Add hair gems all around this wedding up do.
When you have short thin hair always add extra hair styling products, back tease the hair for more fullness starting at the root, and blow dry your hair upside down to create more volume.
