I used to be that individual who could highly depend on a stable job to obtain a house, pay all the bills, and pamper myself once in a while. However, with the economy in recession and people losing their homes and their jobs, majority of the populace is now shifting into fourth gear in search for other means to generate income. Forget the luxury, most of us barely make ends meet. Now, we scour the cyberspace to prevent our income from flat lining.
With the goal of earning extra money online, I have found a virtual plethora of information that I am eager to share with you. Why am I doing such? Why am I sharing the secrets of how I survived? (Well, I think the appropriate term is still surviving). Simply because I will also make money by simply writing about it. Yup, I know. I’m shrewd.
(There’s always an ulterior motive, right?)
You need not run out of your house and obtain a full-time job. While that option will be of great help, one may opt earn money the easy way (this is legal so don’t worry). It will only entail little or no work at all. There are some really easy and simple things you can do to earn, which cost little money (or sometimes, it will cost you zilch).
Here then are ten ways to make money while giving you the time to sit and relax. These suggestions are not really work; I actually view them as fun activities.
Number One: Have you tried renting out a spare room for additional cash? If you have a sizeable basement with an outside access then you can put it up for lease. Heck, you can even offer such space to your working sons or daughters (who you can’t seem to get rid off) to rent it out for a monthly charge. The rental fee need not be a huge amount. Just enough to defray the cost of overhead expenses like water and electricity bills.
Number Two: How about renting out your garage space? You can offer your garage space to someone who has an extra car or a boat. If you want, you can even throw in a little vehicle dusting here and there to entice the prospect lessee. America is indeed a beautiful place to live in, particularly if you are residing near an entertainment stadium, sports arena or a ballpark. You can use your lawn and driveway to serve as their parking slot. Obviously you have to charge less than the fee being asked by ballpark or stadium. Nonetheless, you are still earning without much of an effort.
Number Three: Write. Write for websites. An example is the one we have here on Neowide. You can make money by writing on subjects you know best or topics within your professional field. You do not need to make a career out of it, simply write because of the pleasure it brings. Many sites allow you to write whenever you want to, as little as you want and you can still make money. Enjoying what you do, allows you to feel that are not working at all.
Number Four: Well, this option will cost you a few dollars. But it is still fun, and if you are really, really lucky. You might end up with tons of money. Lottery. Oh yea! This is one of my guilty pleasures. You may win a few dollars or a whopping millions of dollars without someone busting your chops. Select all of your favorite numbers or get some numbers from your friends and neighbors.
Number Five: Sell, sell, sell. Where? eBay, where else? Almost anything sells on eBay. What do you have lying around the house? In the attic? If it’s still in good condition, you can put it up in eBay. Books, cutleries, china, gardening equipment, techie gadgets, shoes, clothes, CDs, college notes—like I said, anything lying in the house. You could even sell your automobile on eBay.
Number Six: Musically inclined? Why not join a band and perform on weekends? You can do covers from famous bands. Play for restaurants, bars, festivals, basically any event in your place. You’re not only enjoying the company and the music but the pay as well.
Number Seven: Join Contests. Enter a karaoke or open mic contests. How about enter a prose in a writing competition. Dance competition? Pie eating competition? You can join any and every competition you can think of. Though I suggest sticking with what you do best. Just make sure you are entering contests that do not require a registration fee. All you need to do is go enter and try!
Number Eight: Like that of number four, this may entail paying up a few bucks. BINGO! Who knows, you might hit the jackpot. And you are also having fun along the way.
Number Nine: Do something you love and earn from it. Are you crafty? I mean handi-crafty? (Is there such a word?) Make customized shirts, jewelries, soaps, etc and sell it to your neighbors, to your friends, to your family members, even on eBay.
Number Ten: Frequent Garage Sales. This is one unique concept, well not really. If you have a good eye, you can spot valuable items. Even if you do not, you can still make money by selling the same on eBay. Purchase trinkets amounting to a few pennies and you can sell it in the Internet for a higher price. You might end up acquiring diamonds in the rough.
It’s a win-win situation. These suggestions can make you money without breaking any sweat. And you are enjoying yourself while doing such. Not to mention that you are doing this in your time without a boss breathing down your neck. It’s your call.
