What song are you having for your first dance at your wedding? With so many popular songs out right now how do you choose? When choosing your song for your first dance you want that song to unique not the same as everyone else.
The wedding song you choose should have meaning between you and your partner. Maybe you have a certain song that reminds you of each other, or a song you first danced too at a party.
Whatever the case may be make this song choice one you’ll always cherish. One of my friends gave me a very cute idea on how to choose a first dance wedding song. She told me that her and her future husband went through the alphabet and picked songs with each letter. The letter they enjoyed the most was “I”, because it represented “I Do”, I Love You”, I finally”, and “I Swear.” So they did their research and found all of the love songs that started with the letter I. This is how they came up with their first dance. The song they chose was” I Finally Found Someone” sung by Barbra Streisand and Bryan Adams. I thought this was a really cool technique.
Do you have a favorite letter of the alphabet? Is it “L”? For the letter “L” you can find songs that had love, lady, or lets in the song title. For the letter “F” you can have songs with faithful, future, forever, or friends. These are just a few examples. By showing you this I hope you get the idea. I decided to think of songs that had the letter “L” in them, because I love the word love and “Y” for you. This spells out love you. Hope you enjoy these first dance wedding song choices.
“Love Me Tender” by Elvis Presley
“Love of a Lifetime” by Firehouse
“Love Will keep Us Alive” by Eagles
“Lady” by Kenny Rogers
“Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green
“Love Is Forever” by Billy Ocean
“Loving You” Elvis Presley
“Love Song” by The Cure
“You Are So Beautiful” by Joe Cocker or Babyface
“You Are The Sunshine Of My Life” by Stevie Wonder
“You Light Up My Life” by LeAnne Rimes
“You’re Still The One” by Shania Twain
“You’re The Inspiration” by Chicago
Those are a few first dance wedding songs I came up with. Now remember when you choose a letter from the alphabet like “L” it doesn’t necessarily have to have the word love first. It can be whatever word you’d like to choose. Have fun choosing your special song.
