The physiotherap–or the physical therapy–is a wonderful manipulation technique by which we modify the deformities of an individual in order to tone up the body and the vital organs in accordance with the practice of naturopathy.

In physical therapy, health means the harmonious functioning of all parts forming the whole body. According to the philosophy of naturopathy, diseases occur due to deviation from natural ways of living. We can achieve the preservation of health and fitness only by physical therapy, naturopathy and the allied therapies, methodically, by which the body’s self-preserving vital energy can work safely to purify the internal dynamics of the body.

By these processes, the self-cleaning of a morbid individuall by natural care and cure enhances the self-curative force of the body so that the body’s own defensive mechanism increases.

Thus, the improvement takes place, while purifying the blood, correcting the distribution of the nutrition throughout the body, promoting the proper functioning of all glands and the organs while eliminating the toxic and waste material from the body. This increased life force and healing power within the body increases the healing effects of any natural herbs, medicines and the other remedial measures we take.

Physical Therapy methods help the body to its normal state of wellness through the natural laws and the principles bringing back the natural harmony in the mental, physical and the spiritual fields to prevent diseases. Physical exercises help to increase the body’s whole circulation so that the general musculature of the body increases and we can work at our full strength.

The exercises also tone up the body, improve defective posture, and play a vital role according to the philosophy of the naturopathy, while giving the good benefits of its use. Moreover, the circulatory, neurological and the muscular improvements increase the functional ability of the organs and the micro to macro parts of our body.

Likewise, the scientific massaging according to natural therapy also increases the self-curative force of the body so that the body’s own defense mechanism can increase and purify the systems and thus the body. This is achieving the desired level of the equilibrium or homeostasis within the body. Physiotherapeutic massage gives the thermal or the heat effect through motion and the frictions. Thus, the positive effect gives improved circulation, and the neurological mechanism controlling it improves as well.

Thus, it increases the blood supply to the area of treatment. It increases the functional activity, supplies more nutrition, and helps the body to absorb  more vital energy through the five elements and the accompanying nutrients.  It thus restores the physiological chain of the body.

Recently, mechanical and electrical equipment have added greater efficiency to the field of physical therapy, as in it we use the electric current for the therapeutic use. It plays a good role for reliving pain. There are great developments in the physical therapy; however, the need of more trained practitioners and experts is of greater demand for availing the great benefits of it.

Physical ttherapy in general has such a significant benefits that we cannot describe it in a few words. However, some of the significant workings are as follows:

1. It removes the accumulated body wastes, poisons, foreign substances, and it helps in the cleansing and regeneration by stimulating the glands and organs.

2. It helps to regulate the vital force and enhance the immunity mechanism.

3. It aids in regulating the blood vessels, lymphatic system, muscles, tissues, tendons, bones, ligaments, etc., from all undue pressure obstructions and possible deformities.

4. It assists in relieving neuromuscular tension and tones up the nervous system.

5. Physical therapy helps to utilize nutrition and oxygen with the effective distribution of the cell salts for normal body functions.

6. The physical medicines correct the discoverable abnormalities of the body in all forms.

As we have discussed that on the prophylaxis, it is useful. It also helps provisionally for the prognostic purposes of a disease, which may summarize it as follows:

1. It directs the individual on how to live in accordance with nature’s laws of health.

2. It helps to make the necessary adjustments in one’s mode of living personal habits and the way of living.

3. It aids to tone up the body for the physical development and to maintain health, and break up the deposits in the joints.

4. It develops the weak muscles, tendons, ligaments, and the other necessary adjustments in all respects.

5. It improves the coordination of movement, increases mobility of the joints and defective posture.

6. It promotes the functions of all the organs.

7. The physiotherapeutic message stimulates the organs and the body fluids for the self-purification, providing a reasonably quiet and soothing effect on the nervous system. It also helps to free the nerves, the circulatory system, muscles, and limbs from all undue pressure, obstructions, and tensions.

Physical therapy has another dimension in the electrotherapy, which we need to consider finally in our discussion. The electric current produces a powerful muscular contraction of voluntary and involuntary muscle fibers and the vibrations required to tone up the nerves and their endings, giving a prolonged sensory effect. The electrotherapy has greater advantages, which are as follows:

1. It acts as a good diagnostic media for various brain and the neurological lesions, muscular degeneration, location of foreign bodies, etc.

2. It helps to conceal structural dislocations and the mal-positions within the body.

3. It helps in the preventive and the prophylaxis measures of disease.

4. In accordance with physical therapy, it helps to treat many orthopedic and the neurological cases as a curative agent by providing long term benefit.

5. It also stimulates the organs and body fluids for self-purification and relieving many symptoms.
