Ping Me!
Quite honestly, I am a newbie to online networking and ping. I bet I have already made many blunders just trying to get my fingers in the door, much less even consider catching up with many experienced online users, other writers at Factoidz and internet bloggers.
What does this mean?
It means I may not know the exact technical words used everyday by experienced computer programmers, computer technicians, and web masters and so on. However, I do know a good thing when I see it.
Being late on the online scene of joining networks, visiting and sharing with other online bloggers, may have hindered me a bit. Trying to individually add the networking links provided by Factoidz has been quite time consuming, especially considering that I still haven’t figured them all out as well as the fact that I am currently using dialup to try to do so.
Factoidz offers various networking sites to link with such as:
Facebook Digg Twitter Readit Mixx Stumbleupon Myspace Google Delicious MSN Simpy Diggo Wirefan Propeller Searchles
Factoidz provides us with fifteen of online networking systems that allow you to share your updates and news, is pretty good. I have been working myself silly to try to cover all the bases, just so you could come here and find some of the interesting things Factoidz writers have to offer you as well as the services that Factiodz can provide writers.
However, just yesterday while searching for informative blogger tips I found something that really impressed me and made my mind go Ping!
Ping is a place where you can add all your social networks at one time as well as post to all the networks you have set up at one time or you can pick and choose which social networks you wish to post your information. Pretty neat idea I think and it does save time once you have registered for the social networks you want to work with.
Here are a couple of articles that may explain it all better than I can. PC World on Ping Ghacks on Ping
Some of the social networks you can add on Ping include, but are not limited to:
Actually, there is a lot more to Ping than what I have listed here, lots more!
In addition, there is even an option for a Custom URL as well as so many others. You really should check it out, especially if you find yourself with less time on your hands than you had anticipated.
Currently Ping is in Beta; however once you register with them you can update your online posts using your instant message, the browser on your phone, email, iGoogle gadget, SMS and Skype. One of the best things I noticed is that Ping will automatically shorten the URL for you, which can also take a lot of time off submitting your articles and news to your social networks.
Ping also offers various other services, tools and featured applications for your convenience. You can just register, place a bookmark on your computer and then when you need to let the world know what you have going on or are interested it is right there handy and quick to use.
