It is one of the most used herbs in India. The Peepal tree spreads oxygen for 24 hours a day, so it is helpful for both nature and us, the humans. It is also known as the Ashvathha and Ficus Religious tree. It is highly effective herbal, which has the major clinical indications at appropriate doses in the following diseases:
1. Heart diseases - In this, the following clinical indications are present:
a. Palpitation of the heart
b. Cardiac weakness
c. The common ailments of the heart
Doses: we infuse the leaves of the Peepal in water at night, distill it in next the morning and then store it in a white bottle. About 15 mg of this infusion is highly useful, while administrating it thrice a day until the ailments disappear.
2. Constipation: for this, the following clinical indications are present:
a. Improper bowel movement
b. General conditions of constipation
Doses: we dry the leaves in the shade and then crush it to a poweder. We can also make pills from it. One pill with warm milk at bedtime ensures the proper bowel movement the next morning.
Likewise, we can dry its fruits in the shade, powder and mixed with an equal quantity of sugar. This compound can be useful if we take it in doses of 4 to the 6 grams (3-5 teaspoons) at bedtime, as it also serves the same function
3. Dysentery: with this, the following clinical indications are present:
a. Acute or chronic dysentery
b. The accompanying symptoms of the diarrhea
Doses: equal parts of the tender leaves, coriander leaves and sugar together, to be chewed slowly to relieve the condition
4. Bruises: in this instance, the following clinical indications are present:
a. Presence of the bruises
b. Presence of injury
c. Presence of wounds
d. Presence of pain
Doses: we grind the leaves, mixed with 25 grams of jaggery and then making of the 8 pills, and taking one pill with milk daily can relieve the pain due to injury.
5. Scornfula (A scornful condition): in this conidtion, the following clinical indications are present:
a. The swollen parts around the neck
b. Swollen lymphatic glands of the neck
Doses: the most effective dose is a plaster of a paste prepared by rubbing the ground roots with water and then applying it on the glands of the affected patients.
6. Mumps: for this, the following clinical indications are present:
a. Presence of the mumps
b. Inflamed part on or near the mumps
Doses: we smear the Peepal leaves with ghee, warm over the fire, and then bandage it over the inflamed part to get the relief.
7. Boils: for these, the following clinical indications are present:
a. Presence of a boil
b. The presence of pus in some cases
Doses: We smear a leaf with ghee and use it as a bandage, lukewarm, on the boil; it may burst the pus, if present.
8. Excessive Urine: In this case, the following clinical indications are present:
a. Excessive urine
b. Symptoms of jaundice
Doses: we soak a piece of tender bark of the Peepal tree in water overnight and have the patient drink the water the next morning.
9. Sexual Disorders: In this, the following clinical indications are present:
a. Spermatorrhoea (a related term with Spermatozoa)
b. Nocturnal emissions
c. Premature ejaculation and other sexual weaknesses
Doses: we dry its fruits in the shade and powder it, then use it as advised with either water or milk for aliments, which appear clinically.
