Lemons: a multi-purpose household solution

Clever uses of baking soda as a household cleaner

As a single working mother of four children. I am always looking for ways to save money. Household cleaners are very exspensive and some of them don’t even work well.

I often take time to just try things that I think could work and at timess they don’t, but for the most part they do work.

Lemons aren’t just for a garnish. It has been my experience that lemons have so many purposes many people do not know about.

Who hates cleaning the microwave? I know I do, one of the most hated things to clean next to the oven. Take a bowl fill it with approximately tow cups of water. Cut one or two lemons in half. Put the bowl of water with the lemons in the microwave for approximately ten minutes. Once the time is up, remove the bowl and wipe away all that dried up food on the walls of your microwave.

Who has cooked something and burnt the pot because you forgot it was on the stove. It has happened to me one too many times. I am addressing  the inside of the pot. Almost impossible to remove that burnt on mess.

Fill the burnt pot with clean water and cut one or two lemons in half. Place the lemons in the pot of water and let boil. You will see how easy the lemons release the burnt mess.

Would you ever think a lemon could brighten your clothes.

Bleach often dulls the fabric in white clothes. I have learned putting my white clothes in the dryer after using  bleach. This has turned some white clothes yellow.

Lemon juice in your laundry works wonders. Instead of using  bleach on your white clothes. Try using lemon juice. It works wonders on brightening the white clothes.

I have found lemons work great for cleaning and at 4 for $1.00 you can’t go wrong.

Lemon juice works great for your laundry and it is price as low as .99 cents to a $1.99.

Lemons are low cost and a great way to clean naturally and lemons smell great.
