Overcome mild insomnia: natural remedies

When it comes down to depression, many kids and adults are affected by it each year. Depression can be quite scary if it gets out of control. Depression varies from person to person. Everyone’s depression will not be the same. Depression has many different stages such as Clinical Depression, bipolar depression, postpartum depression, and believe it or not, seasonal depression.

My niece was just diagnosed with depression, but a very mild case of it. The doctors did subscribe a medicine called Zoloft. The medicine seems to work ok and help her deal with the depression, but medicine can only do so much. When you have depression you need to do a mind over matter technique and keep yourself unstressed. Are there any natural home remedies a person with depression can use?

Yes, there are a lot of home remedies for depression that will help ease the person and make them feel safe. The best natural home remedies for depression is to do simple things at home, using home recipes for depression. Here are some simple natural home remedies for depression.

1. Each day take a multivitamin with a glass of orange juice. The vitamin and orange juice will help calm you down, and prevent you from having an anxiety attack.

2. Make sure to make time for the outdoors. The natural sun is one of the best natural treatments for depression. The sun not only helps you with your brain, but it helps to ease and calm you down. The sun acts like an alternative for a vitamin.

3. Eat one Dark chocolate bar a day. The dark chocolate is full of antioxidants and helps with the body and brain. Dark chocolate is also known for helping with stress or anxiety attacks.

4. Green tea mixed with yoga- Drink a glass of green tea before doing a yoga session. The breathing techniques along with the ingredients in the tea will make you very calm, cool, and collective.

5. Fruit, vegetables, and lots of water- By getting the right nutrition this will help your body stay intact. When dealing with depression your body can not lack in protein or fiber.

6. Peppermint, lemon, and lavender- Before each nap mix a few drops of each of these ingredients into a potpourri dish. Then lay down next to it. The lavender especially is very calming to the body.

7. Cinnamon and water drink- Mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon into a boiling cup of hot water. Allow this to cool down for 5 minutes then drink.

Many people with depression may feel the anxiety attacks are related to the depression problem, but they are 2 totally separate conditions. Each health condition has its own symptoms. A person with depression may feel constantly upset, stressed at all times, moody, and very irritable, while a person who has anxiety attacks will feel worried, upset stomache, fast heart beat, anxious, and tense.

If you have depression it is possible to have anxiety attacks at the same time, so these natural remedies will help both problems.

Great tips. I will add one more for the seasonal depression during winter. And that is to take a seperate vitamin D3, 1,000 IU is recommended, since most of us dont get vitamin D from the sun in the winter.

No one will be surprised if I add one other ingredient. Prayer. God's healing power is unlimited; the price is right, and a daily dose is good for the soul and fights depression. Good article, 3lilangels: and YES on the dark chocolate bar - just smelling it brings on the endorphins! Marie :)
