I remember hearing about Oil of Olay when I was a teenager. I had never tried the Oil of Olay product line. I had found a product that I could use in my daily beauty regimen that suited my skin and did not cause me any type of allergic reactions while using the skin care product. Believe me, when you have sensitive skin that may react adversely to any type of product that you may try to use, especially on a daily basis. It not only gets trying, frustrating and painful. It can also get very expensive. Therefore, I did not try the Oil of Olay products and well, the product I was using at the time did not cause me any painful skin conditions. It was also less expensive than the daily use of a skin care product such as Oil of Olay.
However, it was in my mid-twenties when I saw and realized for the first time, up close the influence that Oil of Olay skin care products had on the skin after years of using their products on a daily basis. Here I will tell you how I came to learn the secrets of Oil of Olay.
I had taken a new job as a live-in caregiver of an elderly couple, he was bed-ridden and she needed a companion and helper as she called it, since she did not feel she required a caregiver. I arrived to meet the couple and their daughter. I had noticed right away how glowingly nice, fresh and young the faces and necks of the women appeared. I was truly surprised when I learned their ages. The daughter was in her mid-sixties and the mother was in her mid-eighties. I would have guessed the daughter to be at least twenty or even more years younger. The mother did not look much older than her daughter appeared to be, judging by the appearance and quality of their beautifully radiant healthy-looking skin.
Caught by my surprise, the daughter told me that her mother had been using the product since it first became available in the marketplace back in 1959, and that she herself had been using Oil of Olay since then as part of her daily beauty regimen. For thirty years, these beautiful women had been using this product and the product definitely lived up to its promise as best I could tell. They could have fooled me with their ages and I have no doubt others may have been mistaken about how old these two sweet women actually were.
Well, I may not have realized or understood what I was missing as a teenager. However, in my mid-twenties I knew that as soon as payday arrived, I was going to buy a bottle of Oil of Olay skin care lotion and see for myself if I could use it without the risks of allergic skin reactions and irritations. I am pleased to say that none of the Olay skin care or Olay body care products that I have used has ever caused me an allergic skin reaction.
I find that I do enjoy wearing all the Oil of Olay skin care and body care products I have used thus far and do look forward to using others in the future. I like the clean fresh feeling that these products offer without the hassle of allergic skin reactions, while my skin looks and feels, soft, supple and younger than the skin of many other women my age feel and look. The Oil of Olay products always seem to have such a nice yet subtle fragrance that is never overpowering or hard on the nose.
