Before we consider the daily importance of the Spiritual practice of Art of Living in the Present, we need to comprehend it as Indian Religions and Faiths, particularly the Gurbani and Sikhism. We now learn about the essentials of human knowledge and wisdom, which we consider as like the ocean, the unlimited or infinite creativity. Now the ocean of the knowledge is the sphere below the pineal gland, the opening gate of mystical world, the sphere of bliss. The other spheres, which the Indian Philosophy of Religions and Metaphysics believes are parts of our Astral Body as follows:
1. The Sphere of Food, the Solid Life Giver: It is the physical body in general as if a vehicle of God. It is a great wonder that we eat and drink and it becomes a part of our body. We get the physical qualities, the strength, stamina and the vital energies, in which the body functions naturally.
2. The Sphere of Air, the Life Giver: We inhale and exhale air, however, it just gives us life. It is the sphere of simply remaining conscious, in which we are having the phases of conscious, subconscious and unconscious, while having and enjoying the states of awake, sleep and deep sleep. We enjoy the normal way of survival that we are living.
3. The Sphere of Water, the Creative Faculties of Our Mind: The creativity and water have the mystic simile, while sharing it with the moon as well. We have it as the emotional energy. It deals with creative thinking and the arts in any form and from any faculty of human knowledge. In some cases, we can consider it as the role of water in our brain functioning.
4. The Sphere of Fire, the Intellect: The Sun slowly converts oxygen into helium and ultimately decays. Similarly, our intellect conducts the activities, while leaving the acids and other chemicals decaying our body; as a result, we get old and die. It is reactive and dealing house as if the headquarters of the science and the math is. It may give the abundance of the charm of knowledge.
5. The Sphere of Space, the Wisdom or Mysticism within Us: Wisdom keeps on increasing; however, the body may change from child to old-aged and finally die. This is the sphere of joy and bliss, in which the age is not significant. It deals with leaving the science and math of intellect and enjoys the mystic touch present in the knowledge. Thus, it is the wisdom, the mysticism present in the knowledge. Therefore, the metaphysics concentrate on it, as it is the opening gate to the higher level of consciousness-the universal, transcendental and thus the mystic one opening from the pineal gland.
Now, these constitute the brain function, leaving wonderful results on our mind - thought, intellect, emotion, action and other related activities. The analytical side of the brain or the side of contrast and comparison generating vastness of knowledge while differentiating, unlike the creative side that integrates with aesthetic touch, is merely a house full of intellect, craving for data, information and knowledge.
Moreover, to feed this hunger and craving the Gurbani says that remembering Him is the food for it, and subtle fuel as well so that the mind can swim on the ocean of knowledge.
How we Correlate it with our Daily Life
All the minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years are equally important and great, says Shri Guru Nanak. By self-awareness, we, as the devotees or seekers open the blissful awareness of consciousness both at individual and universal level, which always looked different before realizing. With the Art of Ascendancy or Soul Evolution, we progress and develop from physical to emotional, mental, psychological, philosophical and spiritual level.
This happens in such a divine way that we feel and experience the presence of oneness with Supreme or Universal Consciousness, the Conscience as the Omniscience. It awakens our intellect, the conscience, self and thus the enlightenment. We start to lead life in an example-setting way, and enjoy the smile of God on the faces that we serve by any means.
Thus, while remembering Him gives the eternal blissfulness of self-awareness and experience of oneness with God while serving the Creation. This is how the Sikhism and Gurbani describe it to practice in our daily life for monthly and yearly mystic cycles.
