Sony Ericsson W902 is an attractive mobile phone for sure with good multimedia capability. It has an excellent music player like other Walkman phones as always do. It has a bright display and, most of all, it’s the first Walkman that has 5 megapixels camera.

Since Walkman has been famous for music player, we can expect more development on music related features from W902. Let’s start one by one.

1. PlayNow™ gives us access to download games, ringtones and other content to our phone, but it is not free. It is a paid service provided by Sony Ericsson.

2. TrackID™ gives the ability to identify a track, artist & album information. Shake Control lets you change music track by shaking the phone when you press the Walkman key. The TrackID is not a new feature. It has been in previous versions of Sony Ericsson’s phone.

3. SensMe™ gives us the ability to create playlists based on tempo and mood. What is your mood today?

4. Flight mode is my favorite. It can allow us to listen to music or play games while in the airplane without worry to interfere with Airplane’s navigation system.

With W902, we will have an audio experience that no other brand could possibly give, especially if we are listening MP3 with HPM-77 headset. It gives clear bass and stereo sound. If you are bored with MP3, you can simply change to FM radio and listening to your favorite channels.

Unfortunately, every good phone always has weaknesses. W902 cannot get away from it. Sony Ericsson is amazingly place 25 mb only for the internal memory. It is just for running the phone. Luckily, they realize they cannot sell the phone with such a small memory. Sony Ericsson is bundling the phone with 8 gb external memory, which is enough to store about 2000 songs.

Since Sony Ericsson is focusing their Walkman products to music player, they almost forget about the camera. They just increase the camera up to 5 megapixels, but they didn’t make any adjustment on the quality. I think they want to make diversified the phone with Cyber-Shot series. Anyway, the screen is rather small and the poor quality of video recording. Other weaknesses in modern days like today, this phone has no Wi-Fi and GPS.
