Spam is such a great and versital food. Given these economical rough times we are currently going through, it is nice to know that you can still make something good and tasty for your family with out spending an arm and 2 legs for it. Mind you, you can use some of Spam’s wonderful off brand cousins and save even a little bit more on your food costs.
Spam Casserole:
Ingredients
1 can Spam or cousin, sliced then cut into small pieces
5-6 medium potatoes, washed then cut into chunks
1 small onion, peeled and chopped
Shredded cheese, what ever type you prefer
salt, pepper, garlic for taste
Directions:
Chop up all of your ingredients, place into a large mixing bowl together, using either hands or a spoon, mix all of your ingredients together, while mixing sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic. Mix in your spices.
Heat your oven to 350 degrees. Using cooking spray, coat the surface of a casserole pan, place the contents of the bowl into the casserole dish, sprinkle with additional shredded cheese if you so desire, bake for 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender.
Serve with a nice salad on the side and you have a well balanced meal.
Enjoy!
