Everyone loves a good Super Bowl Party. The party has to have great food. I am sure most of you have been to a Super Bowl Party that only had simple, everyday foods. If you are throwing the party, you want it to be the best. I have put together a few ideas and recipes that may help you.
You should have mixture of salty and sweet snacks, and a variety of meats to serve your guests. People do not usually want health foods at a Super Bowl Party, but you may want to offer a vegetable tray for your guests. Chips, dips, snack mix, and meat is a necessity for any Super Bowl Party.
Serve your food in a buffet style environment. Have a large table or two to serve your food from. Provide serving utensils, paper plates, cups, and plastic ware. You do not want to have to wash dishes after this day.
Be sure to have enough drinks for your guests. Have beer, soda, juices, punch, ice tea, or any drink that will satisfy your guests thirst. Be sure there will be enough ice for everyone as well. Place a cooler at the table; fill it with ice and a few drinks.
Decorate with all of the tams colors. No matter who is in the Super Bowl, you will have a favorite. Find food and decorations that are your team’s colors.
Here are a few things that will work great, and will compliment the football theme.
Chocolate Pretzels:
- 1 cup chocolate morsels, melted.
- 1 medium bag of pretzels
- ½ cup white chocolate morsels, melted
- Food coloring that is the color of your favorite team.
Take your pretzels and dip them into the dark chocolate. After it is coated you will lay them on wax paper. Let the chocolate harden. To speed up the process, place them in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
Melt your white chocolate when you see the pretzels hardening. . When it has melted completely, mix in a small amount of food coloring. Be sure not to add too much. Just add small amounts until it becomes the appropriate color.
You will then drizzle the colored chocolate over the pretzels. Allow it to harden then store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
BBQ Burger Sliders:
- 1 pound hamburger meat
- 1 egg
- ½ Cup Flour
- ¼ Cup BBQ Sauce of your choice
- Large Dinner rolls
Mix all ingredients together, and then make small football shaped patties. Remember they have to fit onto the dinner roll. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more BBQ Sauce. If the sauce is too thin, add a little more flour.
Cook in a pan, or on the grill.
Be sure to serve it open, so the guests can see your work. Add your preferred condiments and vegetables to the sliders, or have everything out for your guests to prepare there own.
Mini Super Bowl Pizzas:
Purchase any pizza dough; the amount will depend on how many guests you will be having. You will also need pizza sauce, and toppings.
Use a knife, or a cookie cutter to make football shaped crusts. Lay the crusts on a cookie sheet. You can add any choice of your favorite toppings. Mix it up a little bit for the kids, and the big kids.
Jalapeno Bacon Wraps:
This is a simple idea, and the amount of ingredients will depend on how many guests you will be having.
Cut the top of the Jalapeno off, and put your choice of cheese inside. Wrap the jalapeno with a strip of bacon, using a toothpick to keep it in tact. Place the jalapenos on a cookie sheet, and bake until the cheese is melted, and the bacon is cooked.
Cheesy Nachos:
Place tortilla chips in a large bowel. Cover with chili, and cheese. You can also add jalapenos, or provide them on the side. Use food coloring to make the cheese the color of your team.
Beef Sausage and Cheese Dip:
- 1 pound smoked sausage
- 1 pound ground meat
- 1 pound Velveeta cheese
Cook your ground meet and sausage; be sure to break it into small pieces. Drain any grease from the pan. Add Cheese, and cook for a few minutes. Serve with crackers or chips. A great way to keep the dip hot is by using a slow cooker.
All of these recipes will help make your Super Bowl Party great. These are just a few simple ideas to add to the ideas you already have for the party.
