Diy Sink Install: How To Properly Install A Stainless Steel Sink In Your Kitchen...

Your kitchen is the most common area in your home to be unorganized and full of clutter. Many people don’t have a lot of time to spend organize a large space like a kitchen.

It’s a good thing you’re reading this because I’m here to help you out. As an organizational freak, I always know how to unclutter and organize just about any room in your home. For now, we’ll work on your kitchen.

Cleaning out your closets. Do this before you do anything else. Do you have the same pots and pans? Too many dishes? If you don’t need it or haven’t used it in a long time, toss it out. You can always donate your stuff to Amvets or see if any friends or family members need some items.

Use up all the space in your cabinets. When deciding where to put your items keep one thing in mind: out of sight, out of mind. If you don’t use certain dishes or items that often, put them on the higher shelf. That way the items you use all the time will be in the front and within reach. This will also come in handy if you’re really short like myself.

Get rid of bad food. I might be stating the obvious here, but you’d be surprised at how many people keep bad food in their cabinets and refrigerator. Go through your pantry and toss out anything that has expired. Once you’ve done that give the pantry a good cleaning by getting rid of any wrappers and crumbs. If you put your food in the cabinets, do the same thing. Basically if it smells funky, turned green or gotten hairy, through it away.

Get rid of the clutter on your counter.
Clear off your and clean it. Your cabinets and pantry is used for storage, not your kitchen counter. People spend thousands of dollars on cabinets to show them off, not hide them with a bunch of stuff.

Make a list. Making lists might sound boring and lame, but it’ll save you a lot of time and money. Write down anything that you need to replace: spoiled food, broken dishes or classes, missing silverware, etc. The list will save you from buying something you don’t need; we all do it, go to the store for one thing and come out with more than what you need and you didn’t even pick up what you went there for. We’re all guilty of that.

Online Organizing offers some great tips on how you can organize your kitchen.

Mail + Magazines = the biggest clutter. The kitchen, well kitchen table, is where many people, including my mom and myself, like to leave the mail, magazines and my homework lying around. Magazines. Oiy. Put them somewhere else, they take up a lot of space and create unnecessary clutter.

Wiki is useful after all. WikiHow has some really good tips and evening some warnings when it comes to getting rid of clutter in your home.

Just remember the way you organize your kitchen is not going to be permanent. Try a few different techniques to see what will work for you and your family and what doesn’t.
