It is strange how some things in life might not be good for our health but are still unavoidable. Stress for example, it is not good for our health, not good for our well being but still no one can say that they never felt stressed over the years or never get stressed at all, because even too much happiness can cause stress and stress in turn can cause several health problems, but I’ll leave that to a doctor. Right now in this article I am going to tell you how stress can cause hair loss and how you can coup against it. Yes, hair loss and baldness, the epic dilemma of humans (especially men) probably since the dawn of our existence.

Let me explain it in the simplest possible way that how stress can cause hair loss. A moderate amount of hair loss is usual, our body has a self healing system which defends us in different ways and it is the same built-in self healing system that replaces the lost hair with new hair. But when our body is stressed out close to its max, this is when our self healing system stops replacing the lost hair with new ones. This problem affects millions of people every day. It is also important to know that if you are losing hair it doesn’t automatically means that stress is the cause. So, before considering a medication or any other method to stop hair loss make sure you are certain about the cause of hair loss. Many of the causes of hair loss are related to medical or health related problems so it is important to know the actual source of the problem.

As I said earlier that stress is an unavoidable phenomenon, but it does not mean that there is no way to reduce stress hair loss. The key here is to learn the ways to manage and channel your stress. If it is post traumatic severe stress that can result in sudden diffuse hair loss or what is also known as Telogen Effluvium, perhaps it would be better to consult a therapist. But if it is the everyday stress that is causing you hair loss, you can benefit by several stress management and relaxation techniques to overcome the problem of stress hair loss, and not only that but through these relaxation techniques you will also be able to defend against many other stress related issues.

It is not that hard to learn to manage your stress and it also doesn’t take as much time as it may seem like. Usually it involves killing your idle time through some activities and hobbies that can channel your stress in a more natural way. Since your unoccupied time can be the major source of stress it is important to learn how to utilize your time in a more productive way. It is fairly easy to control mild stress hair loss by managing stress, and using some medications can also stimulate the process at the same time.
