There are so many different diet aids out there; we just don’t know which way to turn, what works and what doesn’t. If you are anything like me, of course, we seem to give it all a try. Something is bound to work, right? Well then, what really is “Sassy Water and the Sassy Water Diet”, and how does it work?
As it turns out, the Sassy Water is to be consumed in conjunction with the Flat Belly Plan which was presented in an article in Prevention Magazine, where you can get all the info. The Sassy Water is consumed for the first 4 days of that diet ,which is based on a 1600 calorie daily diet consisting mostly of whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables. Also included in that weight plan is limited monounsaturated oil to be eaten with each meal which should be consumed every 4 hours to keep up optimal energy levels. The water contains ingredients that are to help with digestion and possibly curbing the appetite and is only part of the jump start of the Flat Belly plan.
With the drastic changes in your eating habits the first four days of this plan, and drinking the water, significant changes will be happening in your body. You will be losing a few pounds of water weight at this period which may make you feel a little weak, light headed and nauseated. That is the down side of this plan and any change in your health status and eating should not go unmonitored.
On the up side, drinking the water regularly is hydrating your body and eliminating toxins while you are going through a different way of eating, which can get you on the right track for eating healthier. This plan does not include complex carbohydrates and/or sugar. It is going to take a lot of commitment once you reintroduce these foods to your diet, as you may start retaining water again. And with any diet and restricting your body of certain foods, if you reintroduce your body back to the way you were used to eating, the weight will come back.
The Sassy water is not something you buy but actually a concoction you can make at home with tap water, lemon, ginger, cucumber and mint leaves which actually relax your intestinal tract. A recipe can consist of 2 quarts of water, about 12 mint leaves, a medium peeled and sliced cucumber, a teaspoon of grated ginger and one sliced lemon. Add all ingredients to the water and let sit overnight. On the good side, this “potion” would have a positive effect on cleansing your system and in ingredients in the water have a tendency to improve your digestion and reduce those carb and sugar cravings.
With any weight loss plan you choose, please be sure to consult your doctor, especially if you are concerned about your health. Again, this water can be beneficial to cleaning and detoxifying your body along with a well balanced low calorie meal plan such as weight watchers (tried and true), and a trusted fitness plan such as Curves, you can surely be on your way to a healthy new you with Sassy.
