Even in the most dire of circumstances, there is always a Blessing. Though it may not seem it at the moment. Though things may seem so terrible that it appears there is no possible way anything good can come of what you are experiencing. At some point, with reflection and prayer the Blessing will be revealed.
When we set intentions and focus on what we truly want, there may be obstacles that come up before we reach our goal. Most of the time these blocks are an outward manifestation of inner blocks to our good. Perhaps there is a hidden feeling, or not so hidden sometimes, that we actually do not deserve that which we desire. Perhaps we feel unworthy, or worry if we can handle the experience once it is in our lives. If there are blocks they may appear in the form of bumps along the road. It is for us then to look at these road blocks and determine their meaning at this time in our lives. In prayer, we can ask for the answer to be revealed.
Another thought to consider is not that God is “punishing” us, leaving or abandoning us, or trying to keep us from our intent; rather can we consider that in fact God is helping us put the brakes on something that may not be in our highest and best interest. God only wants us to be content and happy, and perhaps there is a higher force at work when the road blocks come up that is calling us to reconsider and perhaps look in a different direction.
Maintaining and attitude of Gratitude and Prayer will always lead you to the answers you need. To know that whatever distress or concern you are experiencing is occurring for a reason and that in fact there is no “bad”, just perhaps, inconvenience, is a step toward understanding the deeper meaning to the situations in our lives.
God cannot leave us. We are the beloved children of the One Source of all Creation. If it seems for the moment that we have been abandoned, we need only to turn back to the still small voice within to ask and listen. The Creator will show you and guide you. As the Shepherd gently guides the flock, our Shepherd, is forever steering us toward our highest good, even if we have to trudge over a few mountains!
