Thoughts on why evolution is not random

I don’t think evolution is completely random. I have debated this with science professors and researchers. If you look at things logically, even leaving God out of the equation, there can only be 1 conclusion that evolution is not just a random chance. There are way too many examples to cite where there is 1 lifeform in a specific area on area that can only exist on another lifeform that conveniently evolved in that same area. That is more than coincidence.

It is my belief that something as yet undiscovered exists within all life that reacts or records environmental and other experiences of the host and this data is transferred genetically when the lifeform replicates whether by seed or insemination or any process which prompts the next generation to adapt to these changes. It is for this reason that many plants, animals, etc. survived severe environmental changes from 1 generation to the next. This explains the variety of human variation assuming we all have a common ancestor. It’s not coincidence that humans with darker pigmentation evolved in hotter climates and those with paler complexions lived in more frigid or mild climes.

I remember discussing this with one biology professor who dismissed the idea stating you can’t “will” changes like that. This isn’t a function of will or any conscious act but something hidden at the molecular level. Our electrical impulses which control our actions and thoughts are all really chemical reactions. Think about that for a moment. Any picture you have you your head is really a combination of chemicals to store and create that making the brain the most complex computer ever. If chemicals can store our complex thoughts, then easily environmental and health threats can be stored. Look at the resistance built up by viruses and the new superviruses that abound.  Cockroaches grow accustomed to past treatments and pesticides making baby cockroaches that lap up the new pesticides like it’s sugar water. This proves evolution isn’t random but is in some ways predictable. I do believe in intelligent design by a God with some purpose and forethought and think we all will be surprised at the true reality.
