Because of my curiosity, I wonder from time to time about what moms truly want on this occasion. So to find out, I did an informal survey of mothers at my daughter’s school to see what their answers would be. The results were somewhat surprising
Most of the mothers questioned would not seek physical items, rather they would request abstract gifts such as spending more time with their children or feeling appreciated for the everyday things that they do for their family. Can it be possible that these mothers would actually be happier with gifts from the heart than with actual store bought presents?

To sum it up, given their choice, clearly, American moms yearn to spend more quality time with their kids and family. However, this is not always the most feasible or practical gift. Many times families live far distances apart or have conflicting schedules. If it isn’t possible to spend time with your mother this year, most likely she wants something to indicate that you are thinking of her.
