I would think that most whom have an inkling of what the swine flu is, are scared individuals. This outbreak has brought fear to our global economy. The number of confirmed cases in the United States climbed to 68 (this was as of 4/28/09 early afternoon), and federal officials warned that deaths were likely. In New York, the city’s health commissioner said “many hundreds” of school children were ill at a school where some students had confirmed cases. In a global recession, a pandemic could present a greater threat. On Friday, the World Bank warned developing nations that slashing public health budgets could put their citizens’ health at risk.
Swine flu is a respiratory disease from pigs caused by type A influenza viruses. Outbreaks of swine flu happen regularly in pigs. Swine flu happen in people who are around pigs but it’s viruses can spread from person to person. The symptoms of swine flu in people are similar to the symptoms of regular human flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Some people have reported diarrhea and vomiting, too. I’m not really too sure of the medical names, but there are medications to treat this if you come in contact with this flu.  Antiviral drugs fight against the flu by keeping flu viruses from reproducing in your body. If you get sick, antiviral drugs can make your illness milder and make you feel better faster.
I wouldn’t take this lightly, despite what others may say.  If you, or anyone you know are showing the symptoms above go see a doctor immediately.
Wash your hands often or use alcohol hand sanitizer… this will help kill any germs. Stay away from people who are sick and contiounously wash your hands especially before rubbing your eyes or nose. There are plenty of articles online that are great, so continue to do more swine flu research to get more useful knowlege.
