I'm not much of a gardener, I do grow houseplants.
One of my favorite things to do is to grow a sweet potato vine in a jar of water, they make beautiful vines.
Also, I grow what is left from celery after it's been nearly used up, rather than chunking it in the garbage.
The other day, I found some chives that were almost done for in the frig and tossed them out the back door by a post and they look better now than they did when I bought them.
Sure, a lot of time and effort go into growing plants, but it is their nature to try to survive even if they are just thrown onto the ground, they will do their best to live and flourish.
My best bet would be on using container gardening when you want an easy and low-maintenance of vegetables, according to the type of vegetables you want to grow.
My grandfathers were both great farmers.
Here is something I've seen them do for many years for tomato plants.
Use a bale of hay and then plant your tomatoes in the hay bale, one each per bale. Make sure you give them the water and fertilizer they need and they will be beautiful and taste great!
