I am putting in hard wood floors in my home. In which direction should the wood flow? From the front door should the wood run horizontally or vertically?

Feng Shui is about the assessment of energy and how those energy can impact the people who interacts with them. There are no Feng Shui rules that dictates how the floorings should be laid out. As long as it creates a space that brings you comfort and balance. Do not get caught up with minor details, you just have to see what is most practical and good design. Good design is part of Feng Shui too, because you want it to look natural not forced. Feng Shui is about designing with a natural look and flow.

Best Wishes.
