An article of mine that I published maybe 4-weeks ago got a mini viral-hit of over 1100 views yesterday evening and this morning shows a total in excess of 1181 "all time" views. -Great!
Being that this is a Factoidz-exclusive article, it exists on no other site of course. I had promoted it upon several sharing venues like StumbleUpon, DIGG, Propeller, etc. so the visitor referrers are probably from multiple sources, not just StumbleUpon.
But upon checking just the SU data I noted that the article has received 5900 views, just from StumbleUpon alone. So, I am curious now why the numbers from StumbleUpon (5900 views) and Factoidz (1181 views) are so disparate? I would imagine that the numbers will possibly equalize at some point. I've just never noticed this before.
Stickman: I, too, put articles on SU - and notice that the total number on there - ie, if it's 61, then it shows up some on Factoidz, but not nearly as many - sometimes 19 - have no idea why - if you find out, let me know. :) Thanks.
The gap widens: Factoidz is saying "1741" and SU reports over "8900+" and that is just them ...I am pretty sure that promoting on other venues gets views too.
This is odd eh? :-)
*Bump* :-)
