this work has never been published. it was submitted to ehow and turndown as they had too many on this topic. so, it has sat in my computer. what gives?
I HAVE HAD ALL KINDS OF EDITOR PROBLEMS TODAY SO I THINK THEY MUST HAVE NEW ONES OR THEY ARE VERY PICKY TODAY. I TRIED TO PUBLISH AND THEY FOUND ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS WITH ME TODAY AFTER 70 OTHER ARTICLES I AM AN INFERIOR WRITER. IF YOU DID NOT GET TO PUBLISH THIS ARTICLE BEFORE, MAYBE YOU CAN JUST MAKE SOME CHANGES TO IT FROM WHAT WAS STORED IN YOUR COMPUTER? I DON'T KNOW, YOU STATED THAT IT WAS NOT PUBLISHED AT ALL SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND. YOU CAN WRITE SUPPORT. THEY USUALLY RESPOND. I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER TODAY . . . AND I WAS SO THRILLED WITH THIS SITE TIL NOW.
I haven't been editing today so I can speak without being defensive...editing can be challenging and our goal is to maintain quality within the site, so please be patient with corrections or requests made by Editors. Pat, if your article was rejected for any reason that you don't agree with, please email support and we will address it. Susan, you are a very prolific writer, don't let the few snags from today get you down.
Well, you see the rejection does not prove that your work is not original. However, there so many words and phrases that if we use in such a way that the databases find it appears to be duplicate. In the better way you may kindly change the entire format of the work, with some examples. The submitted works elsewhere remain in the database for sometime, as you said about eHow.
Simply change the presentation on the title from "How to" presentation to DIY. Little difference, but significant. Thanks and I suppose you will continue submitting as it is one of the best place. Please keep trying-for each submit another article as it may seem frustrating to edit the same article again and again, is not it. I will be writing many factoids, never worry or panic, thanks and that is it!
Pat, your name doesn't ring a bell so maybe you can refresh our memories as to what the article title was. FYI every article we receive is ran through several programs that checks its text against material already published on the web. Just because you haven't published it elsewhere doesn't mean that someone else hasn't published an article where the wording of the text is close enough to make it come up as previous published material. There will always be some match because of commonly used expressions and phrases ands we allow for that but when the match up hit 30 percent and above the article will be returned for a rewrite. When I return an article for that reason a note to that affect is attached.
Thank you all for your help with this matter... I don't know what magic all of you worked, but I suddenly got an email saying the article was published...so all is well. I am also busy on the second, and it's nothing like the first. I hated to break in on you all with a child molest article, but I felt it was important. I was planning on doing more on lighter topics. But, plan on throwing some of these in too. I ve worked in the missing child field for over 20 years, some of the information will be coming thru but I also want to bring in some of my jewelry making projects. I was lucky and was asked by Lapidary Journal magazine to write workshops for them so for 10 years i submitted 13 projects and had a great time. they started selling my patterns online, and keeping all the funds, not cool, so husband said, "so don't send them any more" and i said"oh, I can do that" I do wire crochet, wire thin enouh to use a regular crochet hook with.
so, nice to be here....thanks
pat
