The term Broadband Services and Broadband has many meanings and implications based upon the context in which it is being used. The broadband has its implication in the context of telecommunication, data, video communications, DSL, Ethernet, power-line communication etc.

The nature of the Broadband Service which you are to opt depends upon your business needs and requirements of the business you are operating in. Generally broadband is a term which is used to describe high –speed connection for Voice and data. How to Find the Best Broadband Provider

In Internet Broadband services, the internet speed is of the primary importance when you decide to choose the internet service for your business. The speed varies as the services vary. For instance, a T1 is a high-speed digital connection that transmits data the rate of 1.544 Mbps. This connection has 24 channels and is an engineered circuit which is monitored centrally. The circuit is brought into the customer premise on fiber cable that allows it to transmit at this high speed. A T3 line is a larger as well as faster than T1. The T3 Internet line can transmit data at a rate of 43.232 Mbps. DSL is another type of broad connection which is slightly slower than a T1-the speed is dependent upon the distance from the central office. The major advantage of this particular connection is that it can be brought into the smaller locations which also include the residential areas also. However the pricing is not much lower than the T1, which offers more stability to its users.

Some internet Broadband service providers also offer OC lines. These optical carrier lines can transmit at speeds of about 51.84 Mbps.

At the point of choosing Broadband Service for your business, the major factors should be current and future needs as well as price involved. For instance, if money is a major consideration then T1 circuits are typically the best option for the small business. It is monitored from the central office so if a problem is detected it can easily be corrected, sometimes remotely.

In telecommunications, Broadband Services refers to a signaling method that includes or handles a relatively wide range of frequencies, these frequencies may be divided into channels or frequency bins. The Broadband services have got more sophisticated improvements and they promise a great deal of ease and usefulness for its users and these services are rapidly expanding in the developing countries as well and being equipped with more advanced tools day by day.

It is indeed a favorable condition for the users with the emergence of lots of providers. They are always trying to deliver the best package to the user to capture the local market. And users can be easily benefited picking the best deal amongst the lot.

Here I’m going to describe an easy way to make your broadband provide you fast internet accessibility:

Well I was always thinking that why i experience slow

browsing with my broad band connection and my one of my

friend told me to do this, which helped me. So I thought to share with you. And note that this is for broad band connections.

• First Make sure you’re logged on as actually “Administrator”.

• Start->Run->type gpedit.msc

• Expand the “Local Computer Policy” branch.

• Expand the “Administrative Templates” branch.

• Expand the “Network Branch”.

• Highlight the “QoS Packet Scheduler” in left window.

• in right window double-click the “Limit Preservable Bandwidth” setting.

• on setting tab check the “Enabled” item.

• Where it says “Bandwidth limit%” change it to read 0.

Effect is immediate on some systems, some need to re-boot.

This is more of a “counter what XP does” thing. In other words,

programs can request up to 20% of the bandwidth be reserved for them,

even with QoS disabled. And now yuppie you will have a fast net connection now.

When I click on enable, it shows a default of 20%. You say I should change that to 0% correct? Does 0% let XP use whatever percent it wants instead of being limited at 20% ?
