When you suffer through trials and tribulations, do not think that God has left you. He has not “gone” anywhere. God is always watching over your spirit.
After your life on this earth is finished, your spirit will pass on to the next world. When someone who is very sick nears the time of his or her passing, that ill patient often hears spirits from the next world.
What do we know about the next world? We have some feel for how well we will get along in the next world. When you came into this world (as an infant), you wanted to stay in your mother’s warm womb. Now you enjoy living in this world.
We have some fears about what will happen after we die. We have to trust in God. God will bring our spirits into a wonderful new world. In that world, each spirit makes its way back to its maker.
God looks forward to reunion with your spirit. God wants to prepare your spirit for its journey back to God. By testing you while you are on this earth, God can prepare your spirit for the journey that it will take, once it has departed from your physical body.
Do not think that God wants you to spend your entire life removed from any moment of joy or happiness. God wants you to get your just rewards here on earth. God approves of those who assert their claim to ownership of money, property or other material good, as long as they truly deserve what they are after.
Of course, it is sometimes difficult to believe that God has not “disappeared.” Not every creature on earth has a full understanding of what constitutes virtuous behavior. The actions of some people can be upsetting.
If you become upset by the actions of others, you should pray to God. Tell God what bothers you, and what you would like to see changed in your life. Do not doubt the ability of God to hear your prayer. Once you finish your prayer, you should feel confident that God will find a way to answer your prayer.
If you put your trust in God, then your prayer will help you to rise above any misfortune. God will help you to find satisfaction. God will supply you with a way to fill any “hole” in your life.
