Housekeeping - Cleaning staff, Room housekeeping, Room attendants, Engineering/ Maintenance Indoors, Engineering/ Maintenance Grounds, Gardeners, Parking Garages, Technical systems maintenance, Security, Unit Managers, Floral arranging and decorating

Food and Beverage Services - Kitchens Managers, Restaurant Managers, Executive Chef, Gourmet Chefs, Banquet Chefs, Sous Chef, Pastry/Baker Chef, Prep Cooks, Waitress/Waiter, Bartenders, Cocktail Servers, Sommelier, Host/Hostess, Dishwasher, Bus-person, Banquet Services and Catering Events Managers

Personal Care Positions - Hairstylist, Massage therapist, Manicurist, Fitness Instructor, Spa/Services Manager, Health Care, Boutique Managers for Clothing, Gifts and Jewelry

Specialized Jobs - Sport Instructors, Skiing Instructors, Scuba Diving Instructors, Golfing Pros, Lifeguard, Horse Groomers, Gaming Table Operators, Meeting and Event planners, Tour guides, Tour Bus Driver, Travel Councilor, Entertainers

Are you qualified?

Required skills for each and every job are dependent upon the specific position. This list of Resort jobs scans such a wide field that there are only going to be some general job requirements posted here.

  • Bartenders or restaurant workers who serve alcohol must be at least 21 years of age in many states, and understand the policies and procedures according to the law.
  • Lifeguards usually have to be at least 16 years old, and they must have first aid and CPR Certifications.
  • Tour bus drivers must have a clean driving record and be familiar with the area in which they will be giving tours.
  • Most resorts and hotels require that all of their employees undergo a criminal background check and a drug test.
  • The one skill that is imperative to all resort employees without any exceptions is that they must have great communication and people skills because they will be interacting with the resort guest’s day-by-day. (Even the most demanding tourist has to be treated in a calm, patient and pleasant manner).
